TruDog Feed Me Superfood Dog Food - 14 oz Bag

Kyra: Food is good but getting too expensive. Sorry, but I have to look for other brands, and I've found some great alternatives. Subscribing does not save me much and I prefer to order as needed. I've bought it here, via chewy and directly, but $40 for 14 oz. is just too much.

David Pando: Seriously my papillon who is 18 and has a liver tumor loves this stuff. It has leaned her up and reduced the tumors size already within a month. No carbs in this. No vegetables no filler no nothing besides COW! The bone the liver even tripe and BLOOD! Wow that is awesome. Of all the selections it is the most whole prey. Just add some water and it stays together and crunchy to even help with teeth. Even dedicated freeze dried companies you can only purchase with a subscription through their website do not have this type of quality.

NOW I have not seen anything where they talk about the source of ingredients so that is the only thing I wish I could know but for now this has done better then all other freeze dried dog food for my dogs tumor size.

Rapps: Bag arrived, I honestly thought it was beads before opening it. Appears to be approx 3-4 cups total. Shocked at paying so much for it I considered return.
My dog has a touchy IBS tummy. Picky, may eat and then refuse all foods. Feeding her is a dreaded task twice a day. This food she ate right away, she has also ignored it. I honestly don’t know if my dogs reaction is important any longer especially for a reviews. Would I buy this again? Not sure, leaning towards making her food again, a raw mixture she liked consistently years past. Value -again hard to address.. The product is consistent and uniform. Seems to be good, quality is likely high, smells like a dead cow. I do rehydrate it. Small chunks, a bit like pellets for dogs I guess. I don’t doubt it’s expensive to make this stuff, I guess I’m accustomed to foods filled with fillers?

slowneasy: Based on other reviews I decided to try this out for my Maltipoo that I rescued from the humane society. With no medical history on her, she was very obese weighing in at 14.5 lbs. The vet suggested cooked foods to bring her weight down to an ideal 9 lbs. After much researching, I ran across Tru Dog Products. I also checked on Dog Food Advisor.com and here you can find just about every dog food imaginable, to see if they have ever had any recalls and the date. Some other foods were always recalled seemed like every two years! But not Tru Dog. They have never had any recalls. The beef is Wisconson grass fed beef with all the nutrients essential for a healthy dog. No need for any vitamins or supplements, it's all in there. I slowly transitioned her according to the package adding 25% to her home cooked food, and then increasing it every couple of days. To my relief, she tolerated it very well and within a week she was on her way to a healthy food regime. This is as close as you are going to get to feeding your baby a raw diet but not time-consuming. Since my baby is a senior (7 yrs) her teeth are not as strong. Gloria: Reference: I have a 1.5year old 70lb Boxer who is extremely picky about his food.

Positives:
1. My dog really loves this food, like really, really loves it.
2. Healthy for my dog. I have done extensive research and understand how much better raw meat and bones are for my dog.
3. Convenient, compact and easy to store. The food is compact and freeze dried. Freeze dry = no need to store frozen raw meat in freezer and than defrost in refrigerator. So you save room in freezer/fridge and save time not having to go through the entire process. You simply add warm water, stir and they eat!

Negatives:
1. Price! You knew that was coming, right? This is good quality food so it costs $$$ which is hard when you want the best for your dog but don't always have the finances to support that.
2. Size. While it is nice that the bag is soo small for me it might be too small. I'm rapidly going through this bag - Please note that I have a 70lb boxer so of course I have to feed him much more than a 15-20lb dog.

Overall LOVE this product, just wish I could get a bigger bag at a lower price! ha what world am I living in, right? But seriously you get...
