Steve Johnson: Looking for a decent lightweight garment bag for travel. I have a full suitcase style garment bag, but wanted a smaller lightweight bag for just a single jacket or suit. The 40" Wally bag looked promising, but seemed a bit over priced. I found the bag looked fairly well made and lightweight, but functionally it was less than adequate. This bag, like many cheaper bags relies on the hanger hooks protruding out the top to hang. There's a rather bulky and unwieldy metal clamp which holds the top of the hangers. While it will hold several garments, the way its designed makes the whole system difficult to align all the hanger ends, then you have the hanger ends and bulky clamp to contend with.

The bag may be folded, with the only way to keep it together is a piece of Velcro on the carry handles. I tested the function with a few jackets inside and it seemed a pretty poor system. The garments tended to slide down and shift, distorting the bag while carrying.

There is no way to attach to a suitcase and no sort of shoulder strap attachments so you will be hand carrying the bag. It would be fine hanging in a closet, but I would not use it for travel, and you can get decent...

Amazon Customer: Fit two suits, 3 shirts, 1 pair of dress shoes, and 3 ties. Worked well and was able to claim it as carry-on with WestJet. If the overhead bins have room, this is allowed to lay flat across the top of other carry-on luggage, otherwise can be folded in half.

Edgar Garcia: Es de muy buena calidad yo estuve en varios vuelos esa semana que toco usarlo y la verdad fue muy grato llegar a ms destinos sin que me traje tuviese arrugar, además que en ciertos vuelos tuve que ponerlo en los compartimientos y la verdad fue muy bueno que se permita doblar y así se acomoda mucho mejor y no se arrugo para nada, además tiene una excelente ventaja que permite que los ganchos no se muevan y por lo tanto no se mueva y arrugue el traje, yo lo traía con uno traje completo (saco, pantalon y chaloco) y tres camisas y la verdad que me fue super bien, otro punto que tiene es que me toco un poco de lluvia al llegar al aeropuerto y verdaderamente no se me mojo nada de mi ropa, EXCELENTE PRODUCTO !!, yo pienso compararme uno más para tener de repuesto

lcd: Worked very well for recent trip. I like that the hangers are held In The clip so they don’t slide around. My clothes arrived unwrinkled.
I would have given it 5 stars but it smelled a bit odd and strong when I first used it. If you are sensitive to chemical smells you’d want to air it out before using it.

gilla: Bag is great, as I was fed up with the cheap bags given to you from a store when you buy a suit.

I use this when travelling for business by car and it is the perfect length to fit a suit or sportcoat and the locking hanger mechanism is great as it prevents the suits from moving around too much. I would say it could easily hold 2 suits, with 2 shirts and not be crowded

I would recommend to anyone and may get another down the road if i need to travel with more suits

Michael Rich: I bought this bag to transport my own wedding suit (I was the groom). This bag worked incredibly well in keeping my suit and shirts clean, dry, and wrinkle-free before my wedding. I packed up a two-piece suit and a shirt (three hangars total), threw a leather folio full of ties and cufflinks in the bottom of the bag, and hoped for the best.

All of my items fit without a problem into this bag, and there was plenty of vertical space to spare. Granted, I hang my suit pants across a hangar, so they don't hang down to their full length. The metal and rubber hangar clasp kept my hangars firmly in place, with no sliding or movement. After folding the bag in half and engaging the velcro handles, I was able to easily stash this bag flat in an overhead compartment on a smallish plane and fly from San Francisco to New York. There was exactly *one* crease in my shirt, right where it had been folded in half, and it took about 10 seconds to remove with a warm iron.

I am VERY satisfied with this bag, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to protect formalwear during travel.

Eighth Samurai: I was looking for a garment cover to hold a limited number of shirts/dress pants on short car trips. I wanted to keep my clothes clean and organized while hanging in the back seat. No need for pockets or shoulder strap. I have a 20 year-old Tumi garment carrier for airline travel. I would not recommend this WallyBag for checked luggage, it has insufficient structure.

Good quality 600 denier polyester with decent seams. The material on the zipper side is 300 denier that I wish was 600 denier, but that's nit-picking. Wally-Lock is convenient and works as advertised, although I don't know about durability. The handle is cheap and too short at 3" - at this price point, leather or plastic would have been more appropriate. As a garment cover, this fits the bill perfectly. At a slightly lower price and/or a better handle, this would be 5-star worthy.

UncleDanDan: I was a little worried by a few reviews complaining about it being cheaply and poorly made, but I fear that a lot of people don't understand the balance between portability and durability. This bag is made of very light materials. It is also "soft sided." However, it is far from flimsy.
I used this bag extensively over the last 2 weeks while traveling and it has far exceeded my expectations. If you want something very light and portable that will hold a sport jacket and a few few shirts that keeps them all together and is very light to carry then this is your ticket. I also love that it doesn't have one of those pointless hangars built into the bag itself. (you do have all of your hanging clothes on hangers don't you?) I also love the hangar clasp mechanism. Simply and foolproof. When you arrive at your destination all you have to do is hang the whole thing up in a closet, unzip it, undo the clasp, and pull the whole thing down the back and your clothes are all nicely hung in the closet for you. Just reverse this when you are ready to load up the car. I put a sport coat and 4 shirts in it and it was perfect! Wrinkles were not a problem at all during the whole trip with multiple...

K.M. Alexander: I bought this bag to take graduation robes and a dress back to my college (recent STEM Ph.D. and got a job before graduating!). Will also be using it to take a suit and dress to a Caribbean vacation later this year.

First, the pros:

--Very easy to use. Hanger lock is great.
--Easily fits in the overhead bin of an airplane
--Not an awkward carry through the airport

Now, the cons:

--My stuff was still a bit wrinkled when I got there and needed a touch-up. This was especially true for the grad robes, which were too long for the bag and had to be pinned up.
--Could use a shoulder strap

Overall, a pretty good bag, though. It will be a good addition to my luggage.
