michael kissinger: The gazebo is easy to assemble. We love it. I wasn't happy how it was delivered. I took the day off because I was supposed to sign for it. I was out back and didn't heat the truck show up. And just plopped it in the middle of the driveway, Not on the cart I had out front for it to be put on. He dumped it and ran with no signature. Thank goodness it wasn't damaged.

Nicolas B.: very good quality. relatively easy to put up but recommend having a friend to help. I did it almost entirely myself which made it challenging at times. Clear all holes of sawdust before putting in screws. The blue plastic protective layer on the steel roof panels was a HUGE pain in the butt and almost led me to give this review 4 stars. Gazebo looks great. Glad I purchased it.

carjam: This review is for the steel version of the gazebo. One hears horror stories about kits like this where parts are missing or it was damaged on arrival, or where pre-drilled holes don't line up. Worse when it arrives it's of poor quality and flimsy and of course a nightmare to get it assembled because the instructions are useless. None of this is true for this product and if you can tighten a bolt you can assemble it yourself. It took me and my wife (we are in our 60's) about 8 hours to put it together and that was because we took it slow and steady to get it right.

It arrives in 3 large very heavy boxes with each component in plastic and marked with a part number. Unpack everything but do not take them out of the plastic bags. Build small piles of like items and take stock of everything.

All the hardware and tools you need is in a sealed package all with part numbers and we took them out of the shipping package put them into ziplock bags and marked them with a Sharpie. Trying to extract a few washers or screws from the original packaging is guaranteed to scatter them all over the place.

Edward Griswold: Materials quality is questionable, I've had it for about 6 months and pieces are splitting already, the wood is very soft so you have to be careful when tightening bolts and screws, you could easily damage parts.
Also, the way the rear drip trim fits on the roof forces rainwater to collect and splash inside along with if there any trees over the roof the leaves would build up on the rear drip trim since it doesn't fit under the roof tiles, at least if you install per the instructions. There are also some parts which are not clearly marked so you could easily install incorrectly.

Corrine WilsonCorrine Wilson: Received it a week early, and the freight delivery went smooth. I threw the guys money for lunch after they offered to bring the boxes to my back deck.
Upon opening my son and I were a little overwhelmed. Spend the time like we did and spread everything out, and get organized. Once we started assembling thing started slow but sped up as we went. I only used the supplied paper instructions and I warn everyone to pay very close attention to all the tiny details not called out. Very easy to hang a board upsidedown. Regardless, over thee evenings we had it built and anchored to the deck joists. We also applied sealant to maintain the bright wood color. This is required as there is only a light stain applied at the factory. Without sealer it will grey out quickly. I used water based zar fyi.
It is a great product and at a fair price. I give it 5 out of 5. Zero complaints, zero regrets.

Graampie: This pergola/gazebo took nearly 2 days to assemble. The plans are clear and need to be followed carefully page by page. Clearing the pre-drilled post holes of sawdust is very important. All the holes lined up perfectly. Preferably 3 people would be needed at certain stages during assembly. The end result is a very sturdy structure, pleasing to the eye and will enhance the value of my property. Though more expensive than a soft top gazebo, it is money well spent as soft tops do not last more than 3 yrs in my experience. Hail will wreck them instantly. I recommend this product.

As a matter of background information, we have a concrete L-shaped rear patio that is quite roomy. However, since it's L-shaped, we are limited in the size and design of any items we can place there. We always wanted some type of Gazebo - a very small one to be exact (with solid wooden pillars/legs) - to serve as a grilling station for our barbecue, however, none seemingly existed on the commercial market and that often meant getting a custom one built.

Over the past ten years or so, we've run the gauntlet of different Asian-made small patio structures - all of which did not last but a few years (mostly rust and breakage). And we certainly looked at a few gazebo/pavilion type of arrangements, but they always entailed much larger structures that measured anywhere from 10 x 12 to 14 x 16 feet or larger. We loved the design of those pavilions because they had wooden legs and either steel or aluminum roofs, but they were out of the question for our patio arrangement.
