KC: This is a great little product, super easy to use and convenient for making tea throughout the day. Hot water is easy enough to get ahold of, and this holds enough tea leaves for 2-3 steeps, depending on if you reuse the leaves. The silicone ring means it doesn't leak once you're done, and doesn't come apart and spill everywhere (yet... I'm a little concerned for the future). It is a little bit of a hassle to clean with all the separate parts; the metal part which actually holds the tea during steeping has very fine holes, which means small tea leaves don't leak out, but also that it can be a little difficult. The scrubbing brush I usually use gets caught up and it pulls bristles out, but this is a small sacrifice to make for something so convenient, and it's to be expected that travel tools have lots of parts.

Crystal ACrystal A: I've recently started drinking loose leaf teas again, and needed a second infuser for my office.
I like to be different, and have unique items that others don't have, and that put a smile on my face - so Pink Pig Infuser came along!
The material is a light...silicone? Plastic? I'm not quite sure what it is to be honest! It is thin enough that the plug on the bottom of the pig is easy to take out and put back in, but not so thin that it's flimsy (aka it is not flimsy at all). It easily holds the 1 teaspoon of tea leaves I normally use (it could easily fit a Tablespoon!), and cleans out and dries so quickly and easily.
I like that the chain is stainless steel - it will last me years to come!
The holes look small, but as per one of my pictures below, it does leak out smaller grains of tea into your cup. This doesn't bother, me. If you don't want any leaves in your tea, I would probably just go for an old fashioned all stainless steel infuser instead.
When you place the pig in your cup, it does float near the top, however, it also steeps the leaf flavour into the hot water as well - only a few holes might surface with the pigs head.
The best...

Crystal S.: This little tool addresses the long list of things I needed in a tea press.
1. Replaces the need for tea bags at work for my loose leaf teas.
The stainless steel infuser replaces the need for bags, and the press also has a container for the tea. Check!
2. Fine mesh so I don't end up with a cup full of leaves.
When searching, it seems like there are a lot of options, but the majority have large holes that let fine-grain tea through into your cup. I brewed yerba mate using this tea press this week, with very minimal sediment coming through the mesh. Double check!
3. All-in-one system that's portable and not messy.
The other options ranged from cute little flowers or animals to mesh filters that sit on a plate, I could just see the liquid piling up on the tray and what a mess it would be to clean up at my desk at work. The beauty of this also being a tea press (check!) means I get all the tea goodness while squeezing out the excess water AND there's a cap for the infuser with a rubber seal that keeps it contained anyway. Check!
4. Easy to fill.
It's a narrow opening, but I bought a really inexpensive (50 cents?) small/medium plastic funnel, and...

Sarah R.: I ordered this a few months ago as a way to enjoy loose leaf tea at work. I loved being able to drink tea at work, but didn't really have a proper kitchen or storage space for making it. I could bring a mug of water and heat it in the microwave, but then I had to coordinate how to get the tea and the infuser and the drip tray and how to clean everything without crushing the tea, making a mess, and taking up extra space in my bag. Or resort to tea bags...which usually aren't strong enough or as high in quality. This pretty much solves the entire dilemma. It stores the amount of tea you want, pre-measured, in the top in a way the leaves won't get crushed. It's a pretty generous compartment too - fits about two cups worth for me, though it's a little difficult to fill sometimes if you have a fondness for larger leaf teas like oolong. Then you just fill the infuser with the stored tea, drop it in your mug, and you have delicious tea in a few minutes. You can press most of the water out and put the infuser cap back on to contain the mess until you get back home to clean it. It makes the overall process easier, it's self contained, and it avoids a lot of the mess. Plus the infuser is...

M. C. Payette: I was suspect about this product as I tried to figure out whether I would use it, and how I would use it for my tea, but decided for under $12 I would figure it out. There are no instructions aside from those very simple directions printed on the label on the back of the box of the product (pretty much what is listed in its Amazon description). It doesn't go into how to disassemble the unit so it's not clear that the infuser does twist off from the bottom of the unit. Note that this unit breaks down into 5 separate parts (which I will attempt to describe with my not-so-official descriptions): 1) green plastic tea reservoir tube lid (which also acts as the plunger top), 2) green see-through tea reservoir/plunger tube, 3) clear plastic outside unit that holds the whole thing together, 4) steeper basket (including the green plastic steeper neck), and 5) clear steeper cover (the thing that keeps your wet tea leaves from getting all over everything in your bag/case). The unit itself is well-made and the parts feel pretty solid (except for the infuser basket itself -- keep reading). I like that it has a clip so it doesn't bob around in your cup. But, the clip is metal -- so -- it will...
