Tork 302028 Countertop Multifold Hand Towel Dispenser for Easy Access

Oreo AsianOreo Asian: For everyone who owns one of these otherwise beautiful dispensers, after some time passes the ability of the spring to keep the paper feeding through the dispensing opening deteriorates. This results in, partway through the pack, the spring no longer lifts the riser high enough to pull a towel through the opening. I've seen the same design flaw in action at many commercial establishments that feature Torq dispensers.

The solution presented itself when my usual brand of paper towels was not in stock. It seems most of us are using the 250 sheet count packs where the towels measure approximately 12.8 x 9.9. Instead, I bought Scott® Multifold Paper Towels (01840) that measure 9.2" x 9.4. The smaller size towel yields a more compact pack.

By going this route, the riser keeps the towels at the dispensing opening from sheet number one through sheet 250. At the same time, a carton of compact towels holds twice as many packs (16 vs 8), so you get double the number of towels for the same price as you would the larger towels.

N. T. M.: I love the TORK paper towels and dispensers. We have a black one in the kitchen and a white one in the guest bathroom.

We bought our first ones back on 2016, and my partner complained that the kitchen dispenser was losing its "springy-ness." So I purchsed this new black dispenser and donated the old one.

Well, we'vehad it about a week now, and to be honest, thes pring just doesn't have much spring to it at all. It just feels sort of "blah" when you pull put a towel. There's no real "grip" to it, if that makes sense.

I think maybe a thicker spring undrler the plate that holds the towels would help, or maybe even two springs. For as much as these dispensers cost, I think TORK could probably afford it.
