Ms. Mitchell: I have used hair fiber products before when I used to color my hair and wanted to cover the gray. Now that I have let my hair go natural, it's very salt and pepper color. I wasn't sure if this gray color fiber would be too obvious, but it seems to blend well. As I get older, my hair has thinning spots, so I bought this to help hide those spots.

R. Needham: I have been using this for only 2 days and I see a difference.
I am a middle aged woman, salt and pepper hair that is color treated to light brown/ dark blondish. I got the light brown shade and it matched pretty well.
I have had a scar on my head from surgery 32 years ago, so I have always had thin hair on one side of my head.
Now, my hair is thinning in front (my forehead is getting larger!) So I've got the scar on the back and thin spots coming in front. This powder made me feel more confident today because I felt less old looking.
I sprinkled it on towel dried hair , let it sit for a bit, then I blow dried it. Then added a little more powder, and checked the scar area in the back of my head and I could barely see any scar, and in front I saw less scalp. I wish this existed 20 years ago and I could have covered the scar back then.
It also seems like it will work for hiding white roots!
I have tried root sprays and they are hard to apply evenly and are sticky.
So, for this product-I recommend
this method; first, wear rubber gloves. Protect clothing, and your sink or counter so you don't make a mess. Protect your ears and your eyes.

yanks69: After reviewing all the positive reviews, Toppik was purchased and recently received. My first application was before my monthly color with Clairol. I was blonde when younger and my hair since then has turned light brown thus, ordered that hair color. My first application covered and blended very nicely. Mind you, at 72, feeling 42 and I do have a full head of hair, but noticed my crown is getting a bit thin. I was previously using a color stick for gray hair to cover not only my crown, but also my sides. Upon coloring my hair recently, I applied Toppik for only my second application. It is GREAT. I do not need much. Of course, there is a bit that lands in my sink when covering my crown while holding my mirror in one hand while sprinkling Toppik on to my hair with the other hand. The blending is just PERFECT! For better results, sprinkle a bit on, then use some hair spray lightly to hold the first sprinkle, then if needed, add more Toppik then lightly spray again. Toppik is MUCH better than the color stick. I just found a new friend! I will continue to use my color stick, but only on my sides for the gray. FRichards: I have never heard of this product. And as an ex- hairstylist, I’m surprised that it’s so popular, and I’ve never heard of it. :-)
I have thin hair, probably from abusing it through the years. These days it is gray and I colour it dark brown. When the roots come through, my part looks very obvious. And makes my hair look even thinner.
So today I got my product - and I was skeptical. I poured some into my hand and thought it just looked like dark coloured dry shampoo. But then I shook some onto my part. I have a quarter inch of regrowth . My regrowth is gray. And the rest of my hair is dark brown. I shook the dark brown product onto my part and it completely blended in. I am very surprised at how effective this is. I cannot see my scalp, or my gray roots. It just looks dark.
It’s like magic.
I still can’t believe I didn’t know about this product.
I know that I’m going to use this whenever I have summer regrowth, before I colour my hair.
And, as everybody else has said here, it has given me confidence. And that’s pretty much all you can ask for, right?

I would definitely recommend buying the applicator, as you can be a lot more precise with the application vs the shake-style applicator that comes with this product

Hard Working Joe: So, if you're bothering to read reviews about anything like this in your ongoing battle with baldness, then let me be clear, right up front - the hair loss is winning the war. To terribly misquote Jim Morrison, "No hair gets out of here alive".... So, you're hoping against all odds that some miracle product will be a cheap, effective, undetectable cure-all in your fight against genetics or disease...well, the good news is THIS PRODUCT KIND OF WORKS. Let me be as transparent as the fine little hairs you're hoping will grow on your head - if you have some hair, but it's thinning pretty bad, this stuff will make it look fuller and hide some of the dreaded scalp showing through - however, if you plan on people getting really close to it, you can see the toppik on your scalp (at least, the dark colors show up if you're Caucasian or light skinned) - but this should work well for a job interview, a date in a restaurant, an acting/theatre gig, maybe even a family gathering - but if you plan on getting lucky and he/she not noticing the smudges on the pillow in the morning, you are out of luck....If battling hair loss is what you're up against, then Toppik is, metaphorically, another tool...
