NTosh: The tungsten works well on most aluminum and steel AC OR DC. I personally have only used one on thin aluminum tread plate. Others have said in reviews that works well on most metals. Steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. My project as of now is on an electrical box for a well puller mostly all made of aluminum, but for bearing shafts. Flash (Nickname)
