Lynn D.: When tigging heavy plate the residual heat can be a PITA to deal with. The tig finger deals with it like a champ and has quickly become an item I use more and more. Zachary V.: Amazon says I bought my last one in December of 2015. That's hard to believe but I guess it's been seven years and I just noticed a hole in my old one today. I use mine a lot even when MIG welding. I put this on my pointer finger and rest the torch on it. It is a little snug but with thin lamb-skin gloves it's fine. It beats having to awkwardly shift position in the middle of a long weld due to the fact that without it you would be cooking your finger.

This is my second one, the first one I bought years ago while in school and managed to wreck it fairly quickly thru misuse, totally my fault.
So when I got this one I expected it to last much longer as all I do now is GTAW welding. So no sparks or spatter/slag to burn it.
Well somehow it started to fray and tear within about 6 weeks of what I'd consider normal use in a fab shop.
