I finally lucked out on this AFAIK "Statesville, North Carolina" sock mfg, called "Thoros" with excellent
customer svc, + a retail shoe salesperson, whom I trusted also, I have used Thoros thick padded socks,
now for over 20 years successfully. IMHO, Use them even instead of bedroom slippers. Note: Thoros do
have different types of padded socks, some thicker than others, I recommend to just get the thickest ones.
Also, if I may add, I have a walk-in closet full of so called designer shoes, I rarely wear, as I am now over
age 70 years old, the only shoes I have also worn also, the past 10+ years, have also been ECCO TRACK II
