Amazon Customer: I read this before the movie, and contextualizing with when it was written, it’s a masterpiece of the medium of graphic novels. Not only does this story delve into the ethics of power, authority, responsibility, and more, it presents it in a gripping narrative form that harnesses the medium of graphic novel to its maxim. For those considering the movie, please read this first! The movie alone does not do this novel justice. In an age of super hero’s and Marvel movies galore, this is a sobering and thoughtful look at what power and responsibility mean.

Lee T.: This review is about the Deluxe Edition product versus a review of the content (which is awesome!). The Deluxe Edition was worth every penny. It comes in a sturdy hardback cover and the pages are a thicker, glossy paper. No accidental rips because the paper is too thin. Definitely packaging worthy of the graphic novel!

Adriano M Azevedo: Ótima história...Nada a reclamar da edição, apenas reclamarei da embalagem que durante todo o ano, a Amazon tem enviado as HQs nacionais e importadas (as importadas não estão vindo lacradas, parecem usadas ou devolvidas, só pra mencionar) em envelopes plásticos ou de papel, só porque são forrados com plástico bolha, eles pensam que protegem as edições. Já recebi até edições quebradas ao meio. Nunca devolvi tantos pedidos como nesse ano.

La tapa dura le da una presencia digna de cualquier colección distinguida, y el hecho de que esté en su idioma original es un plus para los puristas y entusiastas del cómic. La calidad del material y la impresión es notable, y aunque ya contaba con una versión en pasta blanda, esta edición ha justificado cada centavo invertido. Es más que un cómic; es una pieza de arte que merece ser destacada en cualquier colección de novelas gráficas. Definitivamente, le doy cinco estrellas.

David Swan: Watchmen is, in my opinion, the greatest literary achievement of the greatest comic writer ever. In the mid 1980’s DC Comics reached its absolute artistic peak. From 1984 to 1986 DC handed Swamp Thing over to Alan Moore, released Crisis on Infinite Earths, published Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns and in one final magnificent achievement gave to the world Alan Moore’s Watchmen. I was 15 years old when Watchmen was published and it was an absolutely mind blowing series. This is a REALLY dark story and I mean that in the sense that it can be downright depressing particularly for someone raised on superhero comics.

There are currently three different versions of Watchmen books currently available. There is the Absolute Edition which I own but have never actually unwrapped. It’s more of a collectible for me and the giant size of the Absolute Editions make them unwieldy for a little bedtime reading. There is the paperback version which is easily the least expensive and there is the Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition hits the sweet spot. With a hardbound cover it’s more durable, the quality of the paper is much higher than in the paperback and the colors are more...
