ukuvio: Sorry, I barely got through the preface & forward. A somewhat painful word salad.
Less than optimal graphics. Hoping rest of book is more pleasant

Ed Cleaves: I recommend this book to people who wish to understand the utility value of Bitcoin and its potential, future place in the global financial system. The book was about 100 pages long so it was a fairly quick and easy read. Michael Saylor also recommended this book. Although I have read more than a dozen books about cryptocurrencies; I still found this book interesting. Reading from a variety of information sources, helps to reduce bias and also offers repetition - the mother of all learning.

J. A. Grossman: Though familiar with cryptocurrency I'd struggled with how to break it down for the laymen in a nutshell -- and this little book gave me everything I need. Not only did it provide a snapshot of the structure of the bitcoin market, it also helped reinforce the moral reasons why the currency can be a life-saver for individuals living in countries where corruption is rampant, dictators inflate the currency (i.e. steal from the poor) and deny basic human rights. I also enjoyed learning a bit about bitcoin's beginnings, and am now further intrigued to learn more about where the trajectory will go....but first plan to re-read this primer a couple of more times to master the fundamentals, and appreciate the glossary style guide to terms which provides a reference for further learning about this evolving, liberating disruptive technology. p.s. very good narrator on the audio version, felt like listening to a thriller, not just a non-fiction!

Sylvain S.: Published in the summer of 2019, “The Little Bitcoin Book” is the book that you must read if you want to quickly and concisely understand what Bitcoin is. Moreover, this book will help you understand why Bitcoin is essential for the future of the world.
Bitcoin is not a get quick rich scheme contrary to what some people think. Its purpose is much greater. Bitcoin is essential for the creation of a fairer world for all people on earth in the future.
“The Little Bitcoin Book” was written by a collective of authors committed to promoting Bitcoin and its democratization. Within this collective, we find Jimmy Song who participates in training developers in programming Blockchain while spreading the good Bitcoin word.
Finally, the book also includes a question and answer section that will give you the opportunity to quickly discover the answers to all the most frequently asked questions about Bitcoin.
This book can also be an ideal gift for those around you if you are already a Bitcoiner and want to make them understand the importance of Bitcoin for the future of the world.

Alba Iana McClinton: Great book to give to people that are too lazy and don’t care enough to learn stuff that matter about life like money, computers, digital security.
I got mildly annoyed how at some places the information is simplified to the point of not being correct anymore:
Page 35: “Users store their bitcoins in a wallet” 🤨 I thought bitcoins are UTXOs which are stored in the blockchain database. Wallets store digital keys for signing transactions, not coins!
Fun fact: Bitcoins don’t exist. When you are sending bitcoins you are actually compiling new transaction by using old transactions’ unspent outputs. Transactions send other transactions, not bitcoins. 😁 It’s mind blowing.
On page 38 it says that blockchain is useless without a decentralised network of nodes that can not be shut down or censored. On page 39 it mentions Ethereum in the “handful of projects with legitimate use cases”. WHERE ARE ALL THE ETHEREUM NODES? Ethereum is useful in theory only. In practice it is not decentralised so all the use goes through the window. Dark web markets are way more censorship resistant than Ethereum apps and they are not running on a blockchain so ... It’s a...
