Mary: I highly recommend this book. Very imaginative. Just the right length. Nicely written. I couldn’t figure out where it was headed, but the author held my attention to the very end.

EOD Phil: I've wanted to read this for years and finally got around to it. Griffin was more intriguing than I expected. At first, assuming one hadn't read the title, there was a mystery to what was wrong with the stranger. His madness progressed reasonably. Like Frankenstein's Monster, Griffin earned my sympathy, at moments. It makes me want to watch the classic movie. Considering when this was written, I give a pass to the stuffy writing. The premise made it unique and fantastic.

Gregory S. Buzwell: The opening scenes of this novel are superb and evocative of any number of mystery stories. A stranger, his face heavily wrapped in bandages, arrives during a violent snow storm in a small out of the way town. Seeking shelter in a wayside inn his strange behaviour and secretive ways soon arouse suspicion, distrust and ultimately hostility.
