Lituus: I bought a few copies for my daughter and her friends as graduation gifts. It contains all the things I have been trying to discuss with my daughter before she leaves for college, plus much more. While I get a shrug and an "I know mom" from her whenever I bring health or medical things up, I feel better knowing she has this resource to bring with her to school. It is well-organized and easy to read. A great resource for any young adult!

This resource is organized by parts or areas of the body and covers everything from ingrown toenails to sinus infections to "margarita" dermatitis (which I had never heard of and may have suffered from at some point in time!). Dr. Grimes also covers topics that a young person may not feel comfortable asking about, like using stimulants to smoking or vaping to UTIs and STIs, as well as the scary topics like alcohol poisoning, date rape, and sexual assault. Each section gives background information, treatment options, prevention, and tips. Since this resource is written by an actual doctor, it is a reliable source versus the internet or peer talk.
One of my favorite parts of the book is the Bonus Section: DIY First Aid Kit. Making a basic first aid kit, or med kit (as shown in the...
