Amazon Customer: Stunning book. 2nd time I am reading it. So much of other programs are based on this book and her methodology. Nurturing your artist self is so important and she’s more like a 5 year old. Learning to embrace the author’s use of the creator God takes something. There’s also a 12 step version towards the back of the book and a new forward. A great way to get over creative blocks and reclaim your inner artist self and move through subconscious hurdles and events from your past.

Carly: This is the third copy of this book I've bought through the years. The others got lost in a move or borrowed but not returned or something but I like it enough to have bought it twice more. It gives you a new, refreshing perspective on life in general. Well worth the price.

Claire s: This book gets mentioned a lot and I finally committed to the 12-week practice. It really brought up a lot and is interesting to see what comes out in the journalling – particularly repetitive thinking but also breakthroughs. I really enjoyed taking myself out on dates no matter how big or small, it helped me explore my local neighbourhood and do things I had been meaning to do for a long time. I rediscovered my love for needlecraft and cross stitch which I have kept up alongside creative writing and watercolour painting. Highly recommend.

HeatherHeather: “The Artist’s Way: 30th Anniversary Ed” is a nice book about art and the artist experience. Not a book on drawing, but more about how to get in touch with the artistic side and understanding what it takes to be an artist. This books takes the reader on a 12 week workshop with exercises in critical and creative thinking that explore the artist life for help in opening up the artist inside. It reviews what it takes to be creative and the connection to the spiritual path. Not what I expected, but I am still pleased with the book. Easy read. If you are not spiritual and an artist, I am not sure it is the read you would want. I particularly like the check-ins. This is a nice book for artists looking to understand their art and push it to a path of spiritual creativity.
