My son's middle school teacher asked parents to send calculators for their students as all of hers had disappeared. So of course my son chose this one because it's what he was using in class. And yes, we bought extras for the teacher.
They seem durable, but unless it makes it through the semester without being lost, I can't say one way or another.

What more can I say, this is a great simple calculator to use. It's small form factor makes it perfect for school kids, or and your own desk. The only minor issue I have had with it, is that because of its small size, makes it very easy to lose, like losing it under the couch or under the bed without realizing it like I did. That's no reflection of the product itself per se, just merely mentioning that can be easy to lose :-)
I've also dropped it a few dozen times, but no scratches or scuffs on the calculator yet, which makes this calculator very durable.
