W. MontgomeryW. Montgomery: My quick summary is, avoid if you are tall. For youth and scouts car and front country camping it's perfect. I recommend it to many first-timers. Its a quality build, very high value for money. If you are thinking about this for your scout who might have to backpack this in the future, understand what you are buying in terms of weight and material before you purchase this as a one and done solution for their scout career.

First the good. Seems well made, stiching looks good, no loose threads. Didn't leak a drop in multiple nights of heavy rain. Ventilation worked great, much less condensation than other tents I have, and other people's tents who were in same conditions as me. When properly staked out the zippers in the mesh inner work smooth and didn't bind up, easy one hand use. In fact they work better than some much more expensive tents that I have. I can't speak too longevity or durability, as I've only spent five nights in it, but the materials and construction make me think that you can get many many uses out of this tent if properly cared for. It has nice aluminum poles, nice guy lines to stake the tent out....

I have several Teton Sports products, (2 sleeping bags, sleeping bag liners, self-inflating sleep pad, pillow, backpack) and am very happy with all of them. I wanted to find a good 3-season tent. I went with this Mountain Ultra 4P. I camp alone, but don't like to be cramped into a tiny tent. So, I went with this 4P Ultra. I love it! I'm 6'1", 220 lbs., and I'm very comfortable in this tent. I've now used it for an entire season, March through mid-November, with no issues or negatives. The description lists it as a 4-Season tent. I'll go 3-Season, but would be hestitant to try this in 4 seasons. There's a lot of ventilation to this tent, so that fourth season may not work out so well. Setup is easy. The tent is sturdy. It has excellent ventilation. It has doors at both ends, with vestibules. Storage pockets inside, and a place to hang a light. Even though it's water resistant, I always waterproof and seam seal my tents. I've had no issues with leaking. Because of the ventilation quality, I've had no issues with condensation build-up. This really is a fantastic tent for my adventures. I highly recommend it.

SeanW: Love everything except needs to be a bit taller in my opinion. A little tuff to get in and out. Looking at the 4 man. 58' high. The rest is excellent. Fly is great, all seemed sealed, poles install easy, no aggravating sleeves. Storage on all 4 corners, Gear loft overhead, Mesh all the way up. Very well thought out designed tent. Heavy backpack tent unless splitting the load. If your out there by yourself for long distances look for UL hiking pole tent. 2 tents wont Kill ya!

Anthony Nicosia: Well worth the cost. Easy to put up, seams are taped and sealed, no loose stitching, zippers functioned fine, very fine mesh, well ventilated no condensation issues, and bone dry waterproof rainfly and inner bathtub. This 4 person tent is for car camping only. Replaced the tent stakes, but usually do on all my tents. Two adults with 2 small dogs with all our gear and we had plenty of room. Good head room with room to stretch. In fact next time I’m bringing 2 low profile cots for us to sleep on. Light to moderate rain for 2 days and a night and the inner tent stayed bone dry. Good 3 season tent. Exceptional tent for the cost. It compares with more expensive brands, which aren’t always well made compared to this Teton. I would recommend to any of my friends and family.

Joe DunbarJoe Dunbar: I picked up this tent to have a simpler set up rather than my Alaskan Guide 6-man tent. When looking at tents I always cut the number of people they say it can hold in half. This is called a four-man tent and that is ridicules, I would say two conferrable. The build quality is very good as is the protection from the weather. I picked up a 10 x 10 tarp to use in concert with the tent. You cannot stand inside this tent, so the tarp gives me standing space just outside the front door while having cover from the weather. Very easy to set up and take down and with all the mesh a good choice for three season use. Not too heavy with room for my cot and a side table. The six-man tent still goes along but is only used if we have a lot of bad weather for the group to sit inside of and play cards or board games. That one takes 45 minutes to an hour to set up where this tent can be set up in ten minutes.
If you are looking for a budget tent, for the money you can't go wrong with this one. We did have two days of rain on the last trip, and it stayed bone dry. Blocked the wind but had outstanding breathability so no moisture builds up inside the tent. If there is anything...

Jason Bean: Happy with the way it fits my Mountain Ultra 2 tent (Model 2006YL). I put it up just as a test run and it's as it should be. Haven't tested it in the rain as of yet, or on damp surfaces, but the waterproofing on it looks to be sturdy and waterproofed well.

Client d'AmazonClient d'Amazon: OK, if you re looking for a very high end quality tent, it isn't. But... Within its price range it's probably one of the of the best options.
PROs:
-Well built, with inside pockets, hooks, quality zippers and small details that make the difference.
-Good ventilation
-light and small enough for canoe camping trips
-2 vestibules
-very quick to set up
-Teton provides an after sale customer service (never used it, but not all brands provide this service)

CONs:
-vestibules could have been slightly bigger (personal preference)
-tent pegs are poor quality (i replaced mine after 1 trip, not really a deal breaker, about 10$)
-footprint is not included with the Amazon version. I purchased separatly for approx 40$. In the pamphlet instructions that are provided with the tent it is indicated that the footprint is provided as standard inclusion included in the box. But when I purchased the models on Amazon it wasn't included for the ones I purchased.
-Very difficult to set up in rainy conditions
