A Morse: Batteries arrived on time and charged up as you would expect. As to quality, only time will tell which is why the rating is rather low. Check back with me in a couple months and maybe I'll be able to give a better rating.

Gizmo: On April 7, 2013 I purchased a Sangean portable radio to take outside while I worked at our berry farm. Work is year round - selling and pruning. If I am working outside so is my radio. The radio takes 4 C batteries. I purchased Tenergy C rechargeable batteries. My radio just started playing for only 1 hour so my batteries were not holding a charge. These batteries lasted a little over 8 years! Needless to say, I repurchased the same brand. My radio still goes out with me on almost a daily basis. I plug it it when I come in and it is ready to go the next day. The batteries are dependable and a great bargain and I would highly recommend them.

Vance N: I actually ordered a second set. My baby mobiles and other stuff, of course, would be powered by no less than C batteries but mostly D cells. Why they didn't just make it AC adaptered is beyond me (being cheap I guess). I have Energizer and Chicago Electric (Harbor Freight) rechargable Nimh before and decided to try this brand since they have gotten decent reviews. I have to say, they do feel sturdy as hell (weight and build). The also last longer - slightly w/ Energizer and more vs CE. They have kept much if not all of their charge even in cold - left the flashlight in the garage during this polar crap and the battery box is in the closet - not as cold but chilly and they have not drained like some of the others have in the past.
Bottomline, not only did I buy another set of C, but I also have the 12 pk of AAA, 4 D and 8 AA. All work with different brand chargers too - have chargers from Radio Shack, Energizer and and older Tyco? All charged fine. I'm happy.
Update: 10/10/16 still working fine. Been through 2 power outages since and another baby so even more toys to use them. I actually bought more Tenergy C batteries.

NLee the Engineer: I purchased this product ( Tenergy Centura C Size Low Self-Discharge LSD NiMH Rechargeable Batteries ), because I wanted to use them in my Mr. Beams MB 980 Motion-Sensing LED Ceiling Light . Previously I have had good experiences with Tenergy Centura AA and AAA cells, which is why I decided to try those C cells in the same series.
Those Tenergy C cells are advertised to have a capacity of 4000mAh. Most name-brand rechargeable C cells in the US market have capacity similar to that of a typical AA cell. For example, the Energizer NH35BP2 C cells are rated for 2500mAh only. Higher-capacity C cells are available, but usually at a much higher cost. For example, the Maha IMEDION C cells are rated for 5000mAh, but cost nearly 3x as much as those Tenergy cells.
I have tested a pair of Tenergy Centura C cells, using my rigged-up Maha MH-C9000 AA/AAA Battery Charger . Here are my findings:
- Right out the package, the average remaining charge capacity is 976mAh, or just 24% of the rate capacity of 4000mAh.
- After one charge/discharge cycle, the average capacity improved to 3832mAh.
- After another...
