Patrick Wells: I like the product very much. I am a musician and I perform a lot. I need this instrument to help keep me in line with my tempo and hand placement on the keyboard. Good product. It reminds me of the one I had as a child. It worked great.

Bananas: My kid takes piano and did not understand the concept of consistent tempo, beats per measure.
This thing works. You can adjust the time signature by pulling out the knob and a bell will signal the start of each measure. Loud enough to hear while playing. No batteries.
Now he likes to burn through his 3 octave scales ( with proper finger work) on the fastest setting. đź‘Ť

ecosMyers: I had looked at these on eBay & almost bought an antique one that looked like what I grew up with.
I spotted this one & thought it looked exactly like what I remembered. It looks very good sitting on a piano until you inspect it.
The case is a plastic wood-tone, that is in the description & that is my fault. It was too good to be true & I will read all the details closely next time.

Uncle Gary: Yes, I know, you can get all kinds of metronome apps for your smartphone. Still, there's something cool about the old school wind-up metronome, like we have here. I use it while practicing the violin and it's loud enough to be heard without having to resort to headphones, keeping things simple. It's easy to use, just wind it, slide the weight to the tempo you want and free the pendulum.
My only complaint is the kinda cheesy simulated wood plastic case. Real wood would have been classier, but likely would cost a lot more.

John E: Nice. I bought this as I can still remember that distinctive tick-tock sound when I attended childhood piano lessons. This is a retro copy in plastic. I chose black as I didn’t think that wood effects would look so good. The sound is remarkably good and the visual clues given by the swinging pendulum are why it is this shape. A good buy and hoping it serves me well for a good number of years. If you want that truly authentic sound of a wooden box this is the nearest thing you will get at a quarter of the price.

Island Girl: A plastic "pretend wood" casing. Doesn't look like wood. I think it's expensive for what it is. I should have got an electronic one.
It's fine for purpose and does its job as a metronome. The bell only works for bars with 2/3/4/6 beats. So for 9/8 etc it doesn't work.
Clockwork mechanism needs rewinding frequently. The instructions are hilarious, the English is appallingly ridiculous. Obviously made and written overseas. I'd not buy it again. I should have taken a copy of the instructions to post here, but threw them away.

Jane: Disappointed to find that item was delivered with a label stuck on the actual product box, as I had ordered this as a present the suprise was spoiled and any return of the box in original condition impossible

PastorD: So far I like the product. However it is plastic and want to see how it holds up, next time I purchase a metronome I will make sure it is made from wood. Also on the box it says I should find x1 Tempi metronome- check; x1 Cleaning kit- not included; and x1 instruction- check. It appears the Cleaning Kit was not included.
