TEKTON 5941 Digital Tire Pressure Gauge - Accurately Monitor Tire Pressure for Optimal Performance

HC: Have mixed opinion on this device. When I opened the package it refused to work and had a static display and refused to turn it off. Rapped it a couple of times (not recommended) and it started working. Since then, except for one time, it has worked consistently. So for past couple weeks its been fine but still makes me wonder about it long term. For some reason these digital gauges don't seem to be very reliable as this is the fourth one I've owned.
So for some positive comments: l like the light as it makes finding the tire valve and using this must easier; the readout is very clear and shows up well, has a nice grip and is small enough to fit in your pocket or glove box. Instructions are marginal but one thing I discovered is if you hold in the button for couple seconds it will turn off faster than waiting for the 30 second auto shutoff; maybe saving a little battery life. FYI, it uses 4 button batteries - 1 CR2032 and 4 LR44's.

Update 3/28/2020 - this unit is simply "Not Reliable". It sometimes works and often it does not. It has either a blank screen or a flashing screen displaying all the pixels. At least with the pixels I know the battery is good??? Rapping the...

BorgsBorgs: This tire pressure gauge does the job it is intended to do, which is to measure the air pressure inside your tires, and it does it really well, giving you a digital reading as opposed to the harder-to-read needle gauge that you'd have to estimate. It's easy to use, turn it on (it turns off after 30 secs so you might have to turn it on each time you transfer to a different tire, if you aren't fast enough), and push it against the valve. Make sure the gauge is flush against the tire valve - if you hear air hissing while you're holding it it place, you're doing something wrong.

I was skeptical about its accuracy at first (skepticism is my default state of mind, so don't worry, it has nothing to do with the product), so I compared the reading from this gauge to another digital gauge and an analog gauge. The readings were consistent across all 3, giving me the peace of mind that this thing tells the truth.

It can be used on car tires or bicycle tires (bike tires need to be Schraeder valves). It gives pressure readings in psi, kPa, bar, and atm. You only need to use psi - but you can rest assured that it can be used in other countries that use a different system of...

.::Tevex::..::Tevex::.: El calibrador funciona bien es exacto ahorita que lo he estado probando, tiene diferentes tipos de medida por lo general la que se usa aqui en mexico siempre es la PSI (Libra por pulgada cuadrada) cuando cheque las de mi carro 3 de ellas marcaban 40 libras y una 35 libras fui a la llantera a que me las calibraran con nitrogeno y cual fue mi sorpresa que las 3 llantas de 40 segun la maquinota de nitrogeno si andanban en 40 y 40.5 y la que andaba baja si anda en 35 libras osea si le atino esa cosa.

Me gusta que igual tiene iluminacion para las noches por si alguien quiere checar como andan en la oscuridad, no tiene ciencia el uso de este dispositivo lo unico que tienen que hacer es quitarle el taponcito de la valvula a tu llanta encender el disposito y colocar la medida que quieras (recomiendo PSI) y colocan fuerte y firme el dispositivo junta ala valvula y sale un numero ya segun su vehiculo chequen si estan bien calibradas siempre se recomienda checar las llantas en frio sin haberlas caminado por que las de aire se hinchan y la calibracion no siempre funciona.

Yo general le doy 5 estrellas es un articulo de primera necesidad en especial para los que usamos nitrogeno...

glauco: Gli dò 4 stelle anziché 5 perché spesso fuoriesce dell'aria dalla valvola prima di riuscire ad avere una lettura.
Il display è retroilluminato, l'impugnatura è comoda. Lo uso regolarmente da circa 3 mesi per misurare la pressione dei pneumatici della mia auto e della mia bici, quindi con valori di pressione tra i 2 e i 7 bar.
Le misurazioni mi sembrano precise. Non assicuro nulla però perché non ho un altro manometro con cui metterlo a confronto.
Gonfio con la mia pompa da bici (che ha un manometro ridicolo incorporato) e misuro con questo manometro.

Logan: Me encanta mi nuevo medidor de presión Tekton... es muy fácl de utilizar y dispone de una pantalla LCD iluminada donde se puede ver la presión de los neumáticos en 4 medidas diferentes, desde PSI hasta BAR, pasando por Kilopascales y Kgf/cm2, lo que hace que este manómetro sea de los más completos del mercado...

Es bastante preciso y tiene una boquilla (metálica en el centro) más robusta que la plasticosa que trae el Good Year GOD0001 que también probé, lo que me da mayor garantía de durabilidad... y además permite desinflar poco a poco el neumático hasta dejar la presión exacta que queramos, cosa que tampoco podía hacer con el Good Year...

En definitiva estoy muy satisfecho con la compra de este artículo...

joshua benhaggai: Makes tire pressure checking very easy and frustration free. Valve fitting is excellent ( you don't lose 5 lbs of air trying to fit the unit on to the valve).
Do not need reading glasses to see display. The blue backlit background with black numbers is a lot easier to read than black background with red lit numbers as seen in other models. Daylight reading is a breeze. Pistol grip is soft and comfortable on any size hand. Very nice quality combined with useful functions and accuracy make Tektron my choice above all others. Compare: spec's - features and price with any other and see for yourself.

CNH: Picked this up for a birthday gift. The recipient was so thrilled I ordered one for myself. Dear husband quickly stole it so ended up buying one for all the men in our family at Christmas as well as another for myself. That should say something . . . but in case it doesn't . . . more detail! I am very impressed with this tire gauge. I've owned a couple and never thought much of them . . . they were tools, they did the job. I expect that. For me to write a review, they either need to be really good or really bad. I don't have time to discuss the middle range! I find the brushed casing perfect both for grasp and minimizing scuffs. The finger grip fits me perfectly (I have large hands and usually feel like smaller ones are going to get dropped.) It is accurate based on the readings from my other gauges. It has worked on all the vehicles I've tried it on, from car, rv, truck and full sized van. The full sized van is impressive because quite a few will not work on those tires. I love that there is a light and that the display is easy to read. Since I've only owned it a month I can't speak to longevity, but I don't see a reason that it would not last, it appears to be well made and of...
