The Grey Lion: The multi faceted story perspectives is great. A person’s perspective of an event and the real event are very interesting. Throwing in the timeline switchbacks makes it even more inventive.
The personalities are carefully crafted and fun.
I like how the diary is playing the moderator by changing as our princess changes things.
Look forward to the way the various causes of the downfall of the empire are being dealt with. Very interesting. Look forward to the next book
Thanks

J: Incredible read. Pulls you in with rich descriptions with zero purple prose. The author expertly uses Mia's experiences in the old timeline to set up and cash in on misconceptions that change the lives of the people around her for the better, but is always sure to remind you of her bratty self for a very down to earth, self-esteem read. Mia herself is incredibly charming for her faults and at times through the punishment she endured in the other timeline she's a genuinely compassionate, empathetic person. It's fun watching Mia set herself up for failure, panic, and somehow do some good anyway. Mr. Teng and Ms. Carter also put an abundance of love into the translation. I read a lot of light novels and generally associate J Novel Club/Seven Seas Entertainment with spelling errors, punctuation failures and overall inability to edit. But none of that is present here and combined with the beautiful illustrations the end result is one of the best light novels I've ever read. Purchase all the volumes and pre-order volume IV in April. If you're not scared of a little political stuff you will not go wrong with this series.

Salilo: If you've seen "My next life as a Villainess", you can definitely see the parallels. However, I'm liking that the main character has more self awareness of how she sees herself and how ridiculous other ppl view her. There's no naivety or the "dizzy main character" troupe. I hope it continues on in this direction. I'm liking that she's not a girl/woman of second chances even in these circumstances (which would've been VERY easy and cheap of the author to do so), she's seeing ppl for who they are.....more or less.... [SPOILER] [SPOILER] The characters who led to her doom and are called flawless and self righteous 1. don't deserve her friendship 2.or love. The main character my have been a bystander or just down right mean in her past life, I don't believe having her executed for the corruption of nobles who started the downward spiral was righteous. Yet she as a princess is expected to correct it. I'm not against her having these ppl as ally's but I really don't want them to become close friends. The totality of her circumstances did not warrant execution or the coldness of the final words said to her.

Nelson Chereta: Okay, the above isn't really accurate. Our precious heroine, Princess Mia Luna Tearmoon, is actively trying to prevent the revolution that brings down her empire and causes her death by guillotine. The thing is, Mia isn't really the hero type. She is lazy, self centered, and of only average intelligence. What she is though is highly motivated. Remembering being imprisoned for three years and having her head chopped off will do that to a person. Unfortunately, despite having a copy of her diary from the previous timeline, she doesn't clearly understand what caused a lot of the problems and has even less idea of how to solve them.
Luckily for her she knows people who can help. Even more luckily people keep misinterpreting her actions. Selfish acts are seen as generous, and even when she is trying to embarrass or put someone down the victim assumes she is helping them. Basically she is Katarina from My Next Life As A Villianess, though this story isn't an isekai. If you enjoyed Katarina you will love Mia. It's a lighthearted and easy read and the plot is about as straightforward as can be. Don't expect a whole lot of depth, but it's a pleasant read. I have no doubt it will be...

Tanzina: If you're a general fan of reincarnation romance stories and shojou in general, you will absolutely love this story! Mia, our formerly-bratty-but-currently-terrified heroine, is an absolute scream to follow as she basically does everything she can to make her Tearmoon empire thrive and thus, avert the blade of the guillotine from falling down on her own neck. She's an absolute scream to follow as the narration makes it clear that her "saintly" actions are nothing more than self-serving ones that get misinterpreted by everyone around her.
Nonetheless, Mia is a lovable (if incredibly selfish) (anti)-heroine that is just so much fun to follow... and given the sadness of her past fate, I ended up really rooting for her and her friends to succeed. She's just wonderful, honestly. So I highly recommend this story!

Daniel Fredette: Essentially, this is a Time Travel story where the female MC goes back in time to make different decisions. Though, unlike a lot of similar stories the MC is not Altruistic, a Saint, or has any sort of Passion for Justice. If anything, most of her motivations are the exact opposite of those. However, the changes she makes cause huge ripples that greatly alter the opinions of those around her, and the activities/tasks they do. Which leads to most of the humor in the story, but also brings out a higher level of realism compared to most Time Travel stories. As this is not a story about one unrealistic "Mary Sue" character changes a whole Empire singlehandedly. This is a story of one influential person affecting those around her, and thru their combined efforts they are slowly and realistically improving/rehabilitating an Empire.

Kindle Customer: To start with there's some serious issues with the logic in this book, especially with a empire supposedly conquered by Hunter gatherers over agricultural farmers in the distant past looking down on food production. so they rarely c grow their own food. But does the author mention what they use the land for? Dairy farming? Sheep farming - wool was a good market in the supposed era this is sort of set, and what about the crops that are for clothing like linen? And the other uses of land? A nobel would use all the land for money. So the areas would all have used not just be 'dead land' doing nothing that must be turned into farmland cause oh no famine! Just yeah someone has no grasp of the logic of history. It alone the thing about horses....
Military or for looking pretty?! Yeah nobles used horses for racing, transport, farming, hunting, especially transport. It was big money in horse breeding. And they really think that no noble girl anywhere would ever go near a stable?? Have they met any 11-16 year old females? Cause in any country with that kind of land use in particular there will be recreational use and exercise and girls who would be involved in the romance of girls and...
