Tantalizingly Spicy Indian Vindaloo from Tasty Bite - Perfectly Balanced Heat and Flavor!

Honest Sereena: I’m of Indian ethnicity and I have to tell you, this is absolutely delish. I add lots of red pepper flakes and eat it more like a hearty soup than with rice. I sometimes add sour cream to it and it’s just so darn delicious 🤤. I work long hours and a lot of times I’m just too tired to prepare and I don’t want constantly eat junk from outside. This is my answer to all that. It’s also a life saver when I fast and eat only vegetarian. Highly recommend and I will definitely be ordering again!

Rob: What a great think for a meal by itself. My only criticism is that there's usually a number of 300-500 mg of Sodium in the description of this product. I sure wish that could be brought down. But, watch the sodium the rest of the day and enjoy the good taste of this dish.

Mary: I use Tasty Bites organic madras lentils mix as a base for a quick, easy dinner. I add some cooked meat, such as Polish sausage chucks and perhaps a few sautéed veggies that I have on hand, and serve it on top of cooked rice with a salad. Nutritious and tasty.

amazed: I thought I had received the wrong flavor before I realized the name changed to Split Pea Turmeric Curry :)
And either Amazon or Tasty Bite needs to update the name on the listing which still shows Jodhpur Lentils.

My last order also had one wrong pouch - it was the Vindaloo flavor. I'll try it since it's vegan, but it's labeled hot, so I'll see how that goes.

Anyway, I love this flavor. I've tried several and kept coming back to this one. I usually add some greens and quinoa and top it with yogurt.

So far, I've ordered this three times in 2023 and the price has gone from $28 to $21 to $29. Of course, the $21 was a more reasonable price, but I can't always find this flavor in store. It's very handy to order from Amazon.

Andrew: We love this! Have it all the time with tortilla chips, rice, sometimes veggies, or cheese! It can really go with anything or by itself. It’s high in protein and as a vegetarian that is one of the main things that is required for a healthy diet. I have been dieting and this hasn’t caused any weight gain despite the high sodium content, in fact I’ve been able to loose weight while eating this for lunch/dinner a few times a week.

The only issue I have with this is the “new packaging”. It says it has the same flavor, which it does, but when comparing the two labels, several things have changed. Theres 100mg increase in SODIUM, there’s an increase in calories, an increase in vitamin levels, and a change in certainty with the ingredients list (more and/or’s for things that didn’t have that previously).

My only MAIN concern is the higher sodium content because the original one already had nearly half the amount one should have in a day…
