J. Barnes: I bought this to use on a deck and another exterior outdoor project. I can't say how they will last out in the rain and sun but they look like they will be good as any other exterior screw. They are rated for treated lumber too which as lot of screws are not. They drive well even for a 4" screw. I did do a starter pilot hole with my drill but it was smaller than I would usually use for other screw diameters. The star heads are much better than Phillip drive screws. Good price too.

willdesign: These work well. Easy to drive. Seem to avoid rusting well. Haven't found the drive bit that is supposed to be the box yet, but you'll need more than one anyway.

Sara: Bought these to construct a small retaining wall out of rough sawn white oak. White oak is notoriously hard, and was worried that these might not be up to the challenge.

Drove these all the way into white oak without pre-drilling using an impact driver and a good bit. No cam-out, the screw went in easily. No broken screws, no stripped heads. If they can handle 3 inches of white oak, they can handle anything.
