Dee: I read that basmati rice from California, Pakistan or India has less heavy metals (arsenic) than
other types of rice, so I decided to ditch my brown, jasmine and long-grain rice and make the switch to
basmati. After reading reviews, prices and package information I bought TAJ which has 9.8 mg protein and 8% calcium per serving. Soaked it about 30 minutes, drained it and cooked one cup rice with 2 cups water.
It came out PERFECTLY!! a big pan of light, fluffy, beautiful rice with a wonderful taste and texture. Move out all you other types of rice, my cupboard space has a big jar of Taj and no room for lesser stuff. Love it! No, I was not paid or given free product or anything else to write this review. I am blown away by the difference in this wonderful rice and if you are thinking of trying it, don't hesitate!

Denise H.: It’s brown rice...not a lot that can be messed up. I normally buy it from Aldis in a 2lb (or thereabouts) size but since civilization collapsed I can’t get it there anymore. They have a quick cook version but I don’t trust it. Lemme soak and rinse like normal so I know the arsenic has been rinsed out(case u didn’t know brown rice contains very high levels of arsenic just from existing—which u got to soak then rinse to get it out).
I like that this brand offers a large size for a fair price. And it comes from a place I expect good brown rice, where my Aldi rice came from.
The bag is very very stiff and it’s not reclosable. Being a Virgo, I like things orderly so I have med size binder clips (Dollar Tree) that I use for unruly bags so they seal properly. My house doesn’t have issues with ‘critters’ so this works for me—in a warmer climate you’ll need a sealable bin to keep bugs out...Because of the large size bag and my unpreparedness for End of Days, i don’t own a proper family size sealable rice container, so I used a clean Tupperware flour container that will hold all but 1/4 of the bag contents. So basically I filled my flour jar as much as possible...

Katie Foster: I was never a brown rice person—I loved white rice! I wanted to eat more fiber, so I bought this rice. It’s delicious! I’ve tried brown rice numerous times before but the smell and taste was always a turnoff.
My family goes through this quickly—I’ve bought three 25-pound bags!—and it has been fresh each time. The last couple of times I bought rice from Kroger, it came with rice weevils (so gross). I put this rice in an airtight container and have not had any issue like that.
I am usually too impatient to soak it first, but I give it a good rinse and then put it in my rice cooker. It smells amazing while it’s cooking, and it’s light and fluffy when it’s done. It doesn’t clump together or get mushy. This is the only rice I buy anymore!
