Shahid f. Khalid: This book explains both the fundamental analysis and the technical analysis such as Candlestick charts, technical indicators, trend lines and more to teach you how to trade effectively. Though this book is biased towards swing trading and talks mainly about investing in stocks, it can be enhanced for mutual funds and ETFs for long traders.
This book is very comprehensive and I learnt many things which were not in many books that I have read on trading. Highly recommended read.

LookingUp: My first introduction to Brian Pezim was 6 months ago as a new member of a day-trading group called Bear Bull Traders (BBT). Brian opens the stock market each morning (with various partners) executing quick trades for quick profit. As the morning continues and the trading becomes less volatile Brian will reveal insights about trades he is holding over several days (swing). I found him to be helpful and patient with everyone’s questions in the chatroom and a great communicator. This led me to purchase Brian’s book.

All members of BBT receive biweekly emails with a video link from Brian describing market conditions, stocks he’s in, and stocks he’s watching. He is jokingly called the Profit of Profits among traders due to the way he predicts good trades; but truly, he’s just really good at studying the market conditions and finding important levels to enter stocks. His book outlines how to find those levels on both a daily and weekly process. Matthew: I got this book because I've never understood the stock market and wanted to start trading. Swing trading really seems like a great middle ground between day trading and holding stocks for long hauls. This book is fantastic because he walks you through everything surrounding swing trading as if you are setting up a trading business. Some other books I've read only touch on analysis or one or two topics, but this book covers everything from risk/reward, scanning, analysis, and much more.

This book is more for beginners but anyone who says the content is stale or can be found for free online is looking for get rich quick tips which this book won't give you. This book is about educating you on swing trading and analysis so you can think critically for yourself and make good investment decisions. He'll teach you ways you can do it, but ultimately it's up to you to do it and develop your own strategies or follow his. The approach to presenting the content and how it's all organized is far more valuable than anything I've read online.
