Yuki: The bike worked moderately, but the power supply inside the bike stopped recieving power (I think that's the issue, but a technician would be able to figure it out) within a year. I bought insurance with this bike and the insurance is a whole other story.
If I could give it 0, I would. The customer service is nice, however, they've hung up on me several times during mid-conversation and my product hasn't been assisted at all because the note is written down "wasn't covered by the plan" even though on the website it states covers "electrical breakdowns" when I claimed my insurance to have it repaired because the power issue is considered a "consumable". I didn't receive a call back from a technician to figure out the true problem when they said they would have one call back within a few days, not notifying me that it was not covered. I didn't know of this until I followed up and called two weeks after I filed my claim. If I had known this was the way I would be treated, I wouldn't have purchased the product or the insurance.
I wish SWAGTRON chose a different insurance company, because honestly this company has given no attention to our claim because the supervisor...

SkyeSkye: I rode bicycles and hauled them off to rail trails and rode them around the neighborhood for years. Then I got into motor scooters about 13 years ago. I always like the little ones that carried me out into the rural backroads, but they had their limitations for distance. It took all day to get out into the country on one and just was not feasible. I looked into hitches and racks but the cost was ridiculous. Eventually I got bored with it all after many years and went back to bicycling after a long hiatus. But the back roads and hills beckoned and I longed to ride them again but at my age and fitness level I knew it was not possible. I got a folder bike and loved throwing it in the car and driving out places to ride. Then one day I saw ads for electric bikes and started reading. And discovered folder electric bikes! And then I discovered this EB5. Wow! I am a short woman who is pretty fit but I had to be able to lift my bike up into my truck to get it out to those lively rural areas. I can handle this bike's weight. 15mph on a bike feels like 70 in a car! Plenty fast for me. The range on a 250 watt battery is 15 miles but after riding I can already see that my range may be further...

Debbie B.: Love that it is:
*tiny
*folds
*light weight
*price
Do NOT like that:
*energy gauge has never worked properly
*no shocks/springs for easing bumps
*seat difficult to secure at one height; slipped down after 4 mos. daily use...screw loosened.

ekacnap: July 2022 Update -- The EB5 has been a gateway to riding a regular bike most of the time; it's no fault of the bike, but I live in a very flat area where e-assist really isn't needed. After replacing the throttle, the battery stopped charging. Through Swagtron, I was able to order a replacement for $99 and do the battery swap myself watching a helpful 3rd party YouTube video. I'm still pleased with the EB5 nearly 4 years on!
October 2021 Update -- I managed to break the throttle; something internal (plastic) snapped and for now I'm limited to pedal assist, which is not as convenient. Can't believe I've had this bike nearly 3 years now, and I'm currently using it daily, logging about 100 miles a month. I was able to order a factory replacement throttle from an online seller, and it's on the way. I get the feeling that changing this component will be tough for me, so asking for help from a bike friend. I've started to air the tires up to 40psi and it's been a noticeable improvement. I now ride the bike more like a traditional bike, and with the PSI up (I'm scared to go higher, as I don't want to change especially the rear tube), seat post up, handle bars up as high as I can,...

KathieKathie: I’ve used the bike three times in two days. Rode less than 10miles combined and the break wires are looking like this ???expected more protection around the wiring but it’s nothing but thin layer of plastic. Luckily it’s just the break cables and I noticed before it got worse.
Aside from that battery last a good time. Rode around mostly flat road for about 1hr. and still had 4 out of 5 battery bars left just using throttle. Same thing when I rode for 30 mins for 5 miles on a balanced roads. Does good going up hill, on steeper hills you do need to pedal to get some speed going up hill if not it feels like you’re moving like a snail in just throttle. You definitely feel every crack and bump in the road. I’ll be swapping out the seat for sure to make it a more comfortable ride.
Finding compatible rear cargo rack has been a pain since swagtron is out of stock and it doesn’t seem like they will be continuing to manufacture the accessory.
Update. I’ve used the bike maybe a handful of times and it’s no longer working. The battery registers as charged but the Moter isn’t running anymore. Not sure what the issue is but very disappointed with how long...
