HannahrainHannahrain: This mask was purchased for a very large headed 16.1 hh TWH mule with very sensitive eyes. She has 12" ears (big for even a mule) so I cut the ears off, close to the seam where the mesh meets the lycra. This is the 3rd lycra mask I've bought for her but the first of this brand, when compared close up the sewing is a little different, so they aren't likely made in the same facility as the name brand masks, though the mesh part does seem to be the exact same mesh. I alternate masks every other day or so to a fresh mask. I either hand wash or wash on "hand wash" setting in the washer and hang dry, so far this mask is holding up just as well as the name brand ones.
This particular mule has eyes that get irritated very easily (we live in FL and she's very allergy prone). I've found the lycra pull on type masks like this are more comfortable to her, they don't leave wear marks and the mesh is much finer than traditional type fly masks. She hates to have fly spray or fly ointment rubbed onto her face but she does not mind wearing these masks at all. The do not seem to interfere with her vison in any way. Deborah A. Petersen: I’m not usually a big fan of this type of fly mask but these are great! They are pretty durable because sometimes the mini horse rips off the mini donkey’s mask and it’s still useable! They do stretch out over time so you might want to size down.

Nikki NNikki N: My horse has to have a fly mask on at all times to protect his eye while we treat for cancer. Most masks sit really close to his eye, but this one puffs out which is great! Best mask I have found yet for this!
