J. Tyler Lehman: over all it make fine tasting ice tea. i like many other has the lid warp due to heat, so it is not able to lock down. the whole tea maker part feels flexible and flimsy. i like the tea basket fine and it is easy to empty the used leaves, but that also has a handle that is flimsy and can come apart. i also feel that the glass pitcher could break, so i usually put a little water in the bottom so that i don't have an issue with it cracking when hot tea hits cold glass and i add ice cubes by hand and so that i don't crack it with ice dropping in and hitting the glass.
all of the said i use it daily and it makes good tasting ice tea. since the tea comes in from center of the top of the pitcher, i can use other pitchers if needed. the Mr Coffee ones that i can't get anymore and that this replaced, needed special pitchers that fit with the spout or a special ice tea making top. i hope the machine itself holds up well, so that if something happens to the pitcher i can continue to make ice tea in other pitchers i have.
