Bobby: This seat-stem shock absorber is fabulous. Bumps are almost a treat. Have about 200 miles on it and continue to be amazed at how comfortable it is. There's a lot going on with the cam/roller design so I bought, and recommend, the available and optional wraparound cover.

Michael: Diese Parallelogrammstütze ist einfach ein Gamechanger beim Fahrradfahren. Das Komfortlevel wird extrem erhöht, denn Unebenheiten auf der Fahrstrecke sind viel weniger wahrzunehmen. Sehr sinnvoll vor allem für Leute mit Rückenbeschwerden wie Bandscheibenvorfall oder ähnliches. Aber auch als Prophylaxe in meinen Augen eine super Sache. Wenn man es richtig einstellt, findet man für sich genau den passenden Grad, wie intensiv abgefedert werden soll.

Ganz nebenbei ist der Preis hier auf Amazon wirklich um eiiiiiniges besser als bei vielen lokalen Fahrradhändlern. Da die Montage auch noch für jedermann super einfach von statten geht: GO FOR IT!!! Kann mir kaum vorstellen, dass man den Kauf in irgendeiner Art und Weise bereuen könnte.

Narrator: Works amazingly well for 5 hour bike rides. I don't bother standing up for most bumps and ditches and such. Just let the suspension seat post take the shock.

TMux: Die SR SUNTOUR SP12-NCX ist eigentlich eine sehr gute Federsattelstüze, sofern sie nicht defekt ist: sie ist wunderbar komfortabel, reagiert schnell und das Einfedern nach "hinten/unten" fühlt sich besser an als nur in axialer Richtung. Außerdem hat sie kein Spiel bei axiale Drehung. Leider ist mir in nicht mal 13 Jahren nun schon die zweite SUNTOUR SP12-NCX Sattelstütze kaputt gegangen.

Bei der ersten sind die Lager ausgeschlagen und hatten richtig viel Spiel (waren aus Kunststoff). Die zweite hatte Lagerbuchsen aus Messing, die sich fest gefressen haben (vermutlich auch, weil ich nie die beschriebene Wartung gemacht habe). Man kann die Lagerbuchsen und Achsen zwar für knapp 25 Euro nachkaufen, jedoch war ich nicht sicher, ob die neuen Buchsen auch passen: die alten waren aus Messing ohne Rillen und, die neuen sind silberfarben mit Rillen. Außerdem ist die Montage der Buchsen nicht ganz einfach.

Bei so einem hochpreisigen Produkt erwarte ich eigentlich, dass die Produkte auch bei mäßiger Pflege besser halten und sich wenigstens einfach wieder reparieren lassen.

Da ich nicht gleich wieder knapp 100 Euro für eine neue Sattelstütze ausgeben wollte,...

Aurelien G.: Étant passé d'un VTT full suspendu à un gravel en ayant des petits problèmes lombaires, ma première sortie d une 20ene de Km en velotaf principalement sur route m'ont donnés des douleurs avec les chocs du à l'état de la route.
J'ai chercher une solution et je suis tombé sur cette tige de selle . Étant un peu sceptique j'ai quand même sauté le pas et je suis agréablement satisfait. Après deux sorties ( une de 82km et une autre de 117km), aucune douleur à signaler. Absorbe bien les chocs .
Certaines personnes se plaignent que le ressort est relativement dur mais ça doit venir principalement de leurs poids. Avec mes 90kg aucun soucis.

Un des seuls points négatifs est qu'elle est un peu lourde par rapport à une tige de selle normale. Mais perso, j'ai préféré le confort de celle ci à la légèreté de ma tige en carbone.

Michael Grady: This makes riding so smooth it seems as if the city repaved all of the streets overnight. Compared my previous seat post, which telescoped, this:

The reason I did not give this five stars is that the sleeve bearings are out in the open. This will presumably cause them to need more cleaning and maintenance than if they had been enclosed in some type of waterproof sock.

bar123: I hardly ever write reviews. I purchased this seat post myself and this is my honest review without anyone asking me to write one up, etc.

Selection (things to remember):
Make sure you select the seat post of the correct diameter and length (the one I got is 27.2 mm / 350 mm). Measure the diameter of your current seat post. Also, from my experience, in two bikes which I was going to install it on, I am glad I paid attention to the bottle mount which was installed on the seat tube (and not down tube). Because of it, I had to select 350mm as opposed to my preferred option of 400mm (would not slide all the way down due to the mounting screws going through the seat tube and which would be in the way of the seat post).
Keep in mind that this seat post is for seats with rails (7mm).
Also pay attention to the fact that the suspension mechanism will limit your option in terms of lowering the seat to the same level as you could before installing this seat post.

Installation (easy):
If you select the correct size (diameter, length), then installation is a piece of cake and takes single minutes.
