NewsViewNewsView: I own a Suncast garden bench with storage that has held up well in my desert climate. Having had a good experience with that product, I purchased the smaller version of this Suncast doghouse, which is said to be appropriate for dogs up to 70lbs. Upon our dog's arrival home from a shelter recently, I realized she was a bit too big at 65lbs to fit comfortably (not impossible but tight) in that model. What's more, the smaller doghouse had a defect in the roof wherein it did not assemble correctly. (Gaps formed at the apex between two adjoining roof panels, which would allowed rainwater to enter.) The company was good about sending me a replacement roof in a comically-sized (enormous!) box but that roof replacement was even worse (warped). As a result, I opted for an exchange via Amazon for this model. This dog house provides more room and seems to be more sturdy overall. This doghouse includes stick-on letters that you can affix to the entry to spell out your dog's name. Upon assembling this doghouse in the garage, our newly-adopted dog decided to help herself to the interior right away (no fear of going inside unlike our late dog who could not stand her doghouse).

RW: Easy to put together. Looks nice. Good space for my 65 lb greyhound. She’s tall so she has to crouch a bit to fit through the door but it’s really spacious inside. Took off the vinyl door covers - seemed to bother her getting in and poking her head out of the door. Time will tell how it holds up outdoors

badcoil: Easy to put together. Keeps my dog out of the wind and looks good.
A little flimsy at first but after it's put together it is sturdy enough.
Big enough for large dogs like malamutes (I have a 90 pound malamute) or a large German shepherd.

Kindle Customer: I love this house that I bought for multiple cats who live in my backyard. They had taken to this house immediately after I sat it outside. I went to lowes and bought some insulation sheets for around $3.98 I believe and I cut a couple of them in half and layer it on the floor of the house and I used Scotch double sided mounting tape to tape it the sheets up against the lower part of the walls inside of the house and please remember when you cut the sheets it doesn't have to be perfect.....So there we have an insulated kitty house. Afterwards I opened up a couple of small packages of Mylar emergency blankets that you can buy on amazon and I payed on the floor which is on top of the insulation sheets that I placed on the floor of the house so it makes the house extra warm because the Mylar retains heat. After that I opened up a bag of straw/hay and spread it on top of the the Mylar and on the bottom of that is the insulation sheets which makes three layers of warmth. The next step is I had some leftover green outdoor carpeting that I have on my porch so I used what was leftover and put it on top of the other three layers.
