Keith: Zeus products continue to prove that you get what you pay for. I’ve dabbled in some of the cheaper brands on Amazon and just can’t find the same quality. Zeus shampoo and conditioners are always the best, and this one is no exception. Conditions hair well, smells fantastic and doesn’t linger too long, and you don’t need large amounts to work. The lime option is significantly better smelling than the sandalwood conditioner.

Guitar Slinger: I really like this stuff! Add a little dab to your damp beard after showering, rub it in and your beard will feel softer and easier to groom. It is not greasy or waxy, either - it feels very natural. It is great for a thick moustache as well. I have a handlebar and do not wax or twist the ends. This product keeps the ends together and looks very natural. ERSJR

K. Cart: I do not have one of those mega beards. We are required by our department to keep it short and neat. This helps the hair on my face lay flat. It, as a bonus, keeps the beard soft enough to keep from getting itchy. When I take a shower I wash my hair, face, and beard first. I then slather this into my beard and continue cleaning the rest of my carriage. The last thing I do is wash this out of my beard before I get out. Smells fantastic. The conditioner does not irritate my sensitive skin, either. Will buy it again.

Max D: I prefer this Lime Verbena scent (or more accurately the lack of scent), but at one point it wasn't in stock, so I had to get Sandalwood (which I find repulsive, though as a conditioner it worked well). Once Lime Verbena came back into stock, I bought another bottle.

All I can say is that they seem to be watering the formula down considerably. The liquid is much thinner (my previous bottle was so thick it was difficult to squeeze out - with the new one, a slight squeeze causes too much to squirt out). Even using too much, the moisturizing power is clearly diminished - my beard hair is left with a much rougher texture. It reminds me of a cheaper brand that I tried to use a while back. Remember that I do still have half a bottle of the good stuff to compare to. I checked the ingredients on both bottles, and they are identical... though the first ingredient on both is water, so they could easily just add more water and the list would remain the same.

After already trying cheaper brands, I had committed myself to shelling out the $$ for something that I know can tame my scraggly beard - unfortunately Zeus no longer appears to be that. The quest continues...

Amazon Customer: This stuff is amazing. Surprisingly, it completely lives up to its claims.

A little background. I spent 6 years in the Navy and shaved every day. I have a very sensitive face, so this led to a lot of razor burn and ingrown hairs. I was always excited to grow out some scruff for a few weeks whenever I took leave. And, as anyone who has done that a few times knows, the first few weeks in growing a beard is the absolute, god-awful worst.

Now I'm out of the Navy and excited to grow a beard and stop shaving (it's pretty much tradition once someone separates from the military). For the first week, it was terrible. All the damage done to my face from shaving was only made worse once I let my hair grow out for more than a few days. The itch was unbearable, and at times, painful. I told myself to stick it through because once the full beard comes in, it'll be worth it. Knowing I was committed, I decided to purchase this product and it's accompanying shampoo.
