MartinMartin: The media could not be loaded. I like everything about this reel -- except the lack of quality control in manufacturing. On the spool, the fitting to connect the hose leaked heavily. A close look showed that the weld that attached the bent tube to the hose fitting didn't go all the way around, leaving a gap that water jetted through. I've returned it to amazon and ordered another, hopefully better made.

jeff camilleri: Update, I contacted the manufacturer who was very responsive and has agreed to supply replacements for the damaged parts. They were very helpful
The unit broke within 2 months of installation. Somehow the gears are broken and the unit will not reel up. I am unsure of warranty coverage but its currently useless for practical use. Was a great product ....... when brand new at least

Wayne A.: I finally got a chance to install this today. The look and quality were much nicer then I expected. Strong but light weight made it easy to install alone. Two clamps and ten minutes is all it took. My only complaint is that for the price one pays for this item, one would expect to have mounting hardware included. Seriously, how much does four lag bolts and/or wall anchors add! All in all, one stop to the spare nuts and bolts bin and the problem was solved.

Evan W: This unit was a tad expensive but worth it for something with all metal components. There was a moment when I first turned it on that water sprayed out of the connection, but it looks like an o-ring or something settled and sealed it up after a moment. I love that it's aluminum, I seems silly to use something that could rust for a mechanical outdoor water dispenser.
The machining on the grooved black bar could be tighter, but I was impressed that even that was metal, so still 5 stars.
It would be nice to have included mounting hardware tho. It looks quite nice, the cast floral is maybe a bit cheesy designwise, but it looks way better than rotting hunks of plastic!

L. Brown: This is a solid hose reel, all metal, will look great and work great much longer than a cheesy plastic one. No leaks and hose reels in nice and even. Have two at current home, had one for years at the last place too, it was still looking great and working leak-free when I moved.

Tricky Ricky: This is a really nice hose reel. It is sturdy and all hose connections are metal. My last one had plastic connections that broke after a few years of use.

TheresaTheresa: This item adds a nice look to the where the hose is stored, and winds in and out incredibly well. I've only had it for about a month but the quality appears to be very good, and durable. I bought two, and the first one required me to fit a piece (the black ring you see in picture 2) that should have already been screwed in. Fortunately I was able to do it, but I am a bit disappointed with the QC. Still, it wasn't damaged, so all's good.
The only other issue is the kinking of the main hose that is caused by the fact that the nozzle where the main hose connects to the hose reel is not angled down enough. Another 10 degrees downward would probably be perfect. You can see in the first picture above, that I have added a small extension piece that helps prevent kinking but it's still not 100%. I do like however, that it is not too high on the inside that is obstructs the winding. The handle is a nice feel but I suspect it will wear out quickly. I'm just hoping there are replacement options for these.
Some things to keep in mind (Not that I have done these, but I noticed in other comments that these were issues)...
1. don't wind the hose up if the water is on. The hose...
