RMC: I've had a Stanley toolbox similar to this for 15 years and it really took a beating from me. The hinges in the back finally broke from my cramming so many tools into it and in a way I was glad it broke cause I really needed a larger one. This toolbox is identical to the one I broke, except it's a bigger size, but other than that it's the same color, layout, tray, position of the lids at the top, everything but now I have more room and more space to add more stuff. Well-built and the price is great too. Glad I found the big brother of the other one.

MapleLeaf: After having this for a few months now, I can say that this tool box is exactly what I was looking for. It is the perfect size for my tools and so far, so good. No complaints. The latches are easy to open for my arthritic hands and yet stay locked when I closed them. Thanks!

Naseem: As mentioned by another review, this box is not big, and it's not small. I have a small electric drill, one household size hammer, and a bunch of household tools, nothing professional. This box is perfect! It fits EVERYTHING without me having to push things around and it's not bulky huge. I really want to give it five stars, especially that the shipping was super early and the packaging was super clean. However, I give it four stars for the following reasons:
1. The picture displays an all black box, I received it with yellow lids for two compartments at the top, I would have appreciated that detail to be mentioned because I thought I ordered the wrong box, and 2. The tray doesn't fill the entire box, this is not the problem, the problem is that you WILL slide it to access the tools underneath and it's not made for sliding, risking the box to age quickly. It is something I would have to get used to, but not a deal breaker. I highly recommend this tool-box for non-professional household use. Will definitely purchase one for my mother soon.

Sean: I've been keeping various tools / screws etc. on a shelf in my cupboard lying around haphazardly for years, but finally decided to man up and grab an *actual* tool box.
This thing is great, it's quite large (but not ridiculous) and has more than enough room for multiple tools. It's got an insert inside to stash your screwdrivers, and the top compartments (divided into two sections each) are a great place to store extra screws, washers, bolts, anchors etc.
It seems solidly built, and is just about the perfect compromise in size between huge pro toolboxes and useless compact ones. light enough to carry around with a ton of tools, and big enough to store things with space to spare, this is a great toolbox!

gopher66ca: large enough without too much bulk. I think purchasing again, I might go one size larger still but it does the job. The interior tray does take some of the space up inside so if you don't use it, probably just set it aside. I thought the 90 degree opening only would not be an issue. It is and it wears on you over time, really annoying, but it does the job at a great price point.

Thrifty buyer: The toolbox was bigger than we anticipated. Way bigger than the standard red everyday-joe one. This one is for a guy with a lotof tools ;) the little compartments at the top are convenient for those little items that get lost in the bottom of your box, like drillbits, the chuck, etc. It has really good clasps on it.
It does have a downside, the plastic is not as rigid as i would have expected for the size of the box. esp the insert. that being said, it's a great gift for the handyman around the house, but for a serious contractor-wannabe type guy, no.

Brian: Looking at the good reviews I decided that even if I hated this box it wouldn't set me back enough to really make me upset. I am no tool box purist so I don't care about the difference between metal and plastic. All I wanted was something relatively sturdy, inexpensive, and could hold my meager assortment of tools. I was thrilled with how large it really is once I got it but once I loaded it and used it for awhile I found some positives and negatives.
First is the positives. The plastic is actually thick and feels quite sturdy as my toe could tell you when I mistakenly left it out. I love the twin compartments on top for the miscellaneous screws, zip ties, and odd assortments I seem to find myself accumulating. The inside tray is nice but really doesn't hold much because it is so shallow. The place for a lock is a nice touch on such a cheap (in cost) box, though I don't think it will fit even a standard padlock so I would recommend a nice luggage lock.
Now for the negatives. There is really only one for me but it could be enough to change how I use this if I get a few more tools. I wish the interior did not taper so drastically, or at all. The storage space is...

S. Bates: This tool box is perfect lightweight. It has very good strong metal latches that work smoothly. I like the size of this plastic tool box, it is ideal for all sorts of hand tools. I also like the two compartments on top of lid on tool box in yellow color which open up to allow you to store screws, bolts, nuts, wire, tape, etc in them. It also has a black plastic tray inside the box at the top which is solid and not rinky dink like some plastic made tool boxes, my biggest regret is that I did not load up and buy more of these tool boxes at the lower price when I go just this one. I recommend these to friends and others you will not be disappointed.

Joanne J: Very sturdy for a plastic tool box. Latches fasten and unfasten easily without excess "play." Roomy enough to hold basic tools (hammer, pliers, screwdrivers, tape measure, stapler) and some supplies (tape, multimeter, staples). The compartments in the lid were large enough to hold a 10ft tape measure, wire nuts, drill bits for the Dremel and a box of brad nails. The tray does not extend the full length of the tool box and can be positioned flush with either end of the box. Tray seats securely and does not shift or rattle. Easy to lift and carry when loaded. Small enough to store out of the way. Supplier shipped super fast and item was delivered a week sooner than Amazon had estimated!! Was well packed in an appropriate sized box. Would definitely do business with this seller again.
