I do have to add that in that short time, it did a good job of cleaning her teeth so I added an extra star. I had high hopes for durability, but I’m disappointed that this didn’t last.

Adi Wa: The rubbery smell was so strong. I don't dare to let my pets chew on it..anyways they hate it. Waste of $$

Sheila Nolan: Well, it looks like a really great toy, and having received it I can attest that has held up quite well. Mostly because my dogs don't really like it, but to be honest, my spoiled mutts really don't want to chew on anything that won't be heading to their stomachs immediately. If you have a fairly serious chewer, especially in the smaller to mid-range size, and they enjoying chewing on solid rubber toys, this might work well for you. It does serve as a real "conversation starter" when guests see it sitting in the living room carpet....

CLXCLX: My puppy enjoyed chewing this for all of 5 minutes before it was torn to pieces. It has a nice squeaker and comes with a brush to clean the bristles. I can’t speak to whether or not the item helped to clean the teeth. Perhaps a lesser power chewer would benefit more from this. Great in concept, wish it was more durable.

JBJ: Okay looks aside this thing works wonders. I have a terrier mix and most chew toys come here to die. This one has lasted well over a week now with only three of the "teeth" coming off. Unfortunately the squeak has also lasted! So it's very durable and most importantly my dog loves it. From my point of view my dogs breath has made a dramatic improvement and his teeth are almost spotless again. So in short don't look at ti just buy it and give it to your dog. Once purchased and received, remove from your history as it will stop the embarrassing questions when someone spots it from a distance!

Misty Flota: Bought for my parents in law pup as she is a small dog. This helps keep the dogs teeth clean while her getting her playfulness out. My mother in law notices it keeps her going for quite a while that it wipes her out. Kills two birds with one stone!
