The Spyderco Para Military 2 Signature Camo Folding Knife is the perfect choice for any hunting expedition. Featuring a 3.42" CPM S30V black steel blade and a durable G-10 handle, this knife is built to last. With its foldable design, it's easy to carry and store. The built-in pivot bushing system allows for convenient opening and closing of the blade, while the G-10 handle offers fatigue-free use. Rated highly among customers for giftability, build quality, overall satisfaction, and value for money, this knife is sure to be a great addition to your outdoor gear. A. IA. I: Knife did not come centered and the action was stiff. Needed to adjust and play with the tension to try to fix this. The good news is that it's not a Chinese fake and it's a real Spyderco. The steel is also not the S30V advertised but the newer S45VN which is actually better. Not sure why the seller doesn't update the information in the listing for that.
The knife is extremely sharp. Much sharper than any of the budget knives I've bought on Amazon and even sharper than the $200 knives I've tried on Amazon from the likes of Kizer, QSP, etc. This knife slices and I should have saved my time and money and gone with a USA knife from the start. Lesson learned.
The bad? The pivot is annoying because the knife isn't centered. While it's not off by a huge amount it's going to take some adjusting to get this thing working right. The other issue is balancing that pivot along with the scale screws to get the compression lock action smooth using either hand.
I suppose it's a labor of love because I'm officially a Spyderco fan. This thing is a keeper.

Silverbear: terrific knife that lives up to all the accolades. I originally got the updated steel model at local sporting goods store but there was some issues with the QC and took it back. Got the S30V steel here on Amazon and quite frankly can't tell any difference but I'm certainly no knife expert. Extremely sharp out of the box and the blade deployment and unlocking is perfect. Always wanted a Spyderco and to have this as my first in the collection is a blessing.

Michael Maryland: After years and years of improperly sharpening knives and never knowing why my knives were never really that sharp, I recently decided to take it upon myself to learn more about knives. What I found was that there was much more to knives and knife sharpening then I had ever imagined. Slowly buy surely, I set out to learn everything I could about blade steels, blade geometry, sharpening techniques, different brands and opening mechanisms etc. Over the last 6 months I have purchased several different knives in different steels from different brands. I now own 4 or 5 Spyderco knives, a trio of DPx gear knives(offshoot of ESEE), A couple of ESEE/Ontario folders, Moraknivs and a few others. I have yet to purchase a Benchmade. So which won the battle for my EDC? This one. The Spyderco Paramilitary 2 is an absolutely tremendous knife in every way. As it stands this is my only knife in s30V, but I do have a titanium framelock from DPx gear in s30V coming in the mail soon. I would at least be aware that S35VN, a slight upgrade to s30V in on the market, but s30V with a good heat treat is a tremendous steel. This knife retains an edge better than every steel that I have ever owned from run...

Andrew S.: This is the first knife purchase I've ever made over $100. My most expensive knife up until now has been my Delica 4. It took me months to convince myself that I was going to do it; I was ready for the buyer's remorse, I was mentally prepared to be disappointed, and I fully expected that it would happen. How much better than my $60 Delica could this thing REALLY be? Why am I going to spend more than TWICE the money on this big thing when I didn't even like my Endura? I'm still not sure why I pulled the trigger, but I'm really happy that I did.
Carry: 4/5 Good. I was surprised about this one. Not really any smaller than the Endura, but it seems to carry a lot better. It is more than EDC capable, though maybe a tad big for my tastes. It sits well on the pocket (I carry tip up), and deploys very fast and easy. I'd say overall it's not as good as the Delica, but it gets closer that you'd think a knife this big could.
Fit/finish: 5/5 Fantastic. Blade centering is perfect. Lockup is early and tight. Factory edge is not polished, but was shaving sharp and the bevel was even. The action of this knife is so smooth it's hard to put into words. I have a few IKBS (ball bearing)...
