Paul: Between my two boys and I we have tried the SOG Tanto II and Flash, the Spyderco Tenacious and Para 3 Lightweight, and of course a Gerber and Swiss Army Knife. This Spyderco Para 3 Signature is absolutely the best knife out of the box as far as sharpness, handle, and most importantly build quality. You can even replace all the parts, minus the blade on this knife, with stock or style from third party vendors, it’s extremely customizable and easily gets even more sharper with a Work Sharp Mk2 electric knife sharpener or whatever you’re used to.
This knife is so sharp you will always want it on you as It beats a lot of specialty tools like wire strippers as an example or even JA Henkels scissors. I was just laying in-wall insulated speaker wire the other day and this knife cut through everything I needed with ease making the job incredibly fast. The Tenacious is the cheaper, entry level Spyderco knife and yes its sharper than the SOG, Gerber, and Swiss Army Knife but not by much and the G10 handle feels better than the FRN Spyderco handle on the lightweight but still feels cheap. made in usa, design spyderco inconfondibile, fluidità nell'apertura/chiusura eccellente, leggerissimo e resistente.
relativamente caro ma vale quel che costa, indubbiamente.
unica pecca, come quasi tutti gli spyderco, è la clip: una deep carry sarebbe stata molto meglio.
io l'ho sostituita con una in titanio aftermarket su tutti i miei spyderco.
non che sia una cosa indispensabile, visto che in italia non è permesso portarselo sempre dietro ma è piu una questione di "ricerca della perfezione"

Diego: Premesso che prima di acquistare questo coltello ci ho pensato non tanto di più ancora, perché a essere sinceri con 160€ si possono chiaramente prendere molte altre cose più utili che un coltello che alla fine della fiera deve solo tagliare. Ebbene alla fine mi sono deciso, e giuro che appena aperto il pacco amazon e mi sono ritrovato la scatola originale in mano già li ero felicissimo dell'acquisto. Una volta messo alla prova ha dimostrato una solidità disarmante, con scatti precisi e zero giochi. Senza dimenticare la qualità dell’acciaio utilizzato. Ve lo consiglio di cuore, invece di acquistare tanti coltelli da 50€ per poi farli finire nel cassetto prendetevi questo e godetevelo come si deve. Come immaginavo poi la clip è molto più comoda di un fodero.

The overall quality is exactly what you'd hope for in a knife at this price from an American boutique manufacturer like Spyderco: awesome. Everything is tight, precise, and nicely finished. All the little details are there, down to the machined Torx screws that sit perfectly flush with the handle. The full flat grind blade is attractive, the shape is handy, the size and proportions are to my liking, and as many other reviewers have mentioned, the factory edge is absurdly sharp. To me, steel quality is really something that can only be determined with hard use and extensive wear, so I will have to update this review down the road to speak to that.

What I was really struck by in my initial impressions of this knife is the deployment. I am a big fan of the Spyderco thumbhole opener in general, and this is the best implementation of it I have ever encountered, bar none. Johann: Das Messer an sich ist sehr gut verarbeitet. Der Klingenstand ist mittig, der Anschliff symmetrisch. Das Loch in der Klinge bietet genug Halt, um die Klinge bequem einhändig öffnen zu können, ohne dabei scharfkantig zu sein. Insgesamt entspricht die Verarbeitung einem sehr hohen Level, das dem Preis angemessen ist.

Der Verschluss (Compression Lock) ist felsenfest und es gibt keinerlei Klingenspiel. Schließen lässt sich das Messer mit der rechten Hand einigermaßen bequem, mit der linken ist es doch eher unpraktisch, da der Daumen sowohl die Feder lösen, als auch das Messer halten muss. Der Klingengang ist sehr leicht. Im geschlossenen Zustand wird die Klinge mit leichtem Federdruck gehalten (detent ball). Positiv ist dabei, dass die Klinge erst kurz vor der geschlossenen Position "zuschnappt", allerdings ist der Federdruck wenig vertrauenswürdig. Zwar fällt die Klinge nicht einfach aus dem Griff, ich könnte mir allerdings vorstellen, dass sie sich in der Tasche öffnen könnte (vor allem, wenn man noch andere Dinge in der Tasche hat, die sich im Loch verfangen könnten oder durch die offene Konstruktion auf die Schneide drücken). Stephan Klose: Mit dem Para 3 habe ich mein erstes Spyderco Messer erworben. Es war auch wirklich schon an er Zeit. Ich habe sogar einen youtube Kanal, der sich unter anderem mit Messern befasst (Name: "Alittleolder") aber Spyderco war mir nie so sympathisch. Irgendwie war die Form nicht so meines und ich fand auch, dass die alle ziemlich gleich ausgeschaut haben. Da ich diesen Monat aber kein Teures Messer kaufen wollte und ich zufällig auf Amazon.de war hab ich mal das Para 3 zum, für Europa, super Preis von 169,95 bestellt. Im Vorfeld wusste ich eigentlich nur 3 Zoll Klinge, Kompressionsarretierung, wobei das einfach umständlich ausgedrückt ist für "oben liegender Liner Lock" und S30V Stahl. Das fand, bzw. finde ich etwas seltsam heutzutage noch S30V zu verwenden , wo jeder schon S35VN als Standard hat. Aber egal. Das Messer schneidet super. Ist sowohl für Holzarbeiten, also schnitzen bis hin zur Essenszubereitung geeignet. Es lässt sich auch "Spideyflicken" also mit dem Mittelfinger von hinten aufschnalzen. Es schein sehr stabil gebaut, ist auch Made in USA. Ich kann noch nicht so viel drüber sagen, aber wer Spyderco mag, wird sich dieses Messer sowieso kaufen. Für Spyderco...
