Spyderco Dragonfly 2 Knife – Compact, Lightweight and Salt-Ready

ジャックジャック: わざわざ、Ｈ１と書いてある所を選んで購入したのだが、新しいバージョンのＨ２が届きました。
そこだけが不満です。
勿論、商品は文句ない切れ味と耐久性、使いやすさ。
ただ、ドラゴンフライのクリップは少々キツめの上硬い。
ネジを緩めるのもしたくはないのて、そのまま使う。

しんしん: 初めてスパイダルコのナイフを購入したが、片手で簡単に刃を出せる機構は本当に良くできている。手にしっくりと馴染み、ハンドル本体と刃元側にある滑り止めが安全性を高めている。
そして刃のホローエッジがよく効いていて、切る時の抵抗が少なく、よく切れる。

このナイフならキャンプでの食材のカット、釣り、山菜取り、ペーパーナイフ代わりなど、どんなシーンでも活躍するはずだ。
なにより、海水に浸けていても、錆がでないほどの耐蝕性は素晴らしいと思う。

KJSK: 海水を多用する場所(魚河岸)で使用していますが、一向に錆びる気配がありません。
切れ味が落ちることも無く、便利に使っています。

John: Very compact- it weighs next to nothing. Absolutely disappears into your pocket, or the waistband of your running shorts. It’s ultra rust proof, so you can sweat on it or swim with it in the ocean and not worry about it rusting.

This is a good deal if you want a very small lightweight knife that doesn’t feel like a toy- it’s solidly built and lives up to its rugged reputation.

BKBK: This is the knife I take with me everywhere. Just the right size, weight, & design for those everyday tasks like box opening or to cut that stray garment string. Clip holds it securely in your pocket. Blade locks out very positively with not even a worry about it accidentally closing in use. Blade is tight side to side and up and down. Texture on the handle is very grippy and done well. Can even open it one handed with the thumb engaged in the hole in the top of the blade. Arrived sharp and has been holding its edge so far. No signs of any corrosion but I do tend to wipe off the blade after every use. Would buy again and recommend to others. Mine was genuine and not a knock off that others have reported. Good EDC (every day carry) knife.

report violation: The dragonfly h1 is an awesome piece of equipment for flats fishing on Florida's gulf coast. The high salinity of gulf water wreaks havoc on all things metal. Yet the need to carry a sharp knife is constant when wade or kayak fishing (cutting braided lines, butterflying baitfish, waste mono, old crablines, tangled weeds, bleeding your catch, etc). Ive spent weeks with this knife fully submerged in saltwater while clipped to my shorts. The blade performs perfectly without a second thought towards maintenance at the end of the day. There is zero rust anywhere.

This knife is very small, lightweight, and thin, so much that you forget its in your pocket (even when laying down). Despite the small size, the ergonomics of the jimping and choil allow for impressive leverage on hard cuts. The h1 metal isnt as strong as v10 but apparently becomes stronger with increased sharpening (work hardened). Ive never had edge retention issues after moderate use.

Again, the dragonfly is a SMALL blade that is lightweight. It is NOT meant for tactical or hard use by any means. It is however, a perfect tool for the constant demands of saltwater flats fishing.

Birdbrain5381: I used to carry a pacific salt every day. It was my favorite knife I ever owned. However, I moved to Boston, where many people fear any knives, and the laws are terribly restrictive to boot (2.5 inch blade length, max).

So I set out to start being a law-abiding citizen but still have a blade in my pocket. Boy, was I happy to see that spyderco makes this knife. I had the H1 pacific salt for over 3 years, and got to know the steel pretty well. Initially, it dulls quickly and requires at least monthly sharpening. After about a year, that decreases to once every couple months. I think this is very manageable. I review the steel in depth in the Pacific Salt review I did, so I won't rehash it here. Suffice it to say that H1 is a near-perfect compromise of corrosion resistance and cutting ability.

The dragonfly is a compact bundle of function. It fits in the watch pocket of my jeans very comfortably, with or without the pocket clip. It deploys quickly from said pocket, and the oversized thumbhole is operable even with thin gloves.

The blade of the dragonfly is also built for pure function. It is decent at piercing, but excels at cutting tasks because of the jimping...
