Jess: This stuff is fantastic! It's got a nice, strong kick (coming from a pepperhead) and delectable savory undertones that play really well in all the contexts I like to use it in. I was originally looking for cayenne, but this seems to be closer to birds-eye chilies or somesuch... and I'm not complaining. Does especially well in my garam masala in place of the tandoori masala I used to use as a source of kashmiri chili powder... or even better yet, added to taste separate from the masala at serving time since we have a lot of different spice tolerances in the household. I think this is gonna be my primary pepper powder from now on.

Tindall Family: My kids like it.
“Not as distinct flavor”, than when I purchase in small containers from grocery store, per my 17 year old son.
I don’t know why. I usually buy this spice to add to my bird feeder, to keep squirrels away. It works when I use the small grocery store container.
But for some reason, the squirrels don’t mind this product.
I thought this was strange. So, I bought groceries store small container again, added it to bird feeder, and the squirrels didn’t touch the bird food. Weird.
Takeaway: don’t buy to add to bird feeders, it didn’t work for me.
