B. Day: Too small for Caspari paper dinner napkins that measure 7.5" x 7.5" folded.
We like its looks, though, and so have kept it and use it for much smaller paper cocktail napkins.

Sandwichmaker: A first world problem for sure, but it's surprising how hard it is to find a good napkin dispenser. Different designs come down to whether the napkins are held horizontally or vertically. Most folks turn to a vertical design to save space on the table, but perusing the reviews surprised me in that there were various complaints about even the more expensive holders, especially when they were tasked with dispensing cheaper, thinner napkins, which I use to save money and reduce paper waste.

I decided to give up on space saving, in favor of better performance. This holder keeps the napkins in place with a solid metal ball on a hinged arm. The napkins aren't going anywhere until you need one, even if you use this at an outdoor picnic on a windy day.

Another review suggested that you press down on the ball arm when you reach for a napkin. This causes the napkin corners to rise and separate slightly, allowing easy selection of a single napkin or two.

The overall construction is good and solid.

My wife said she would prefer white, but alas, white is not offered. I think the bronze looks nice, and for whatever reason it was much less expensive than the black...

jfknaples: This works perfectly. I purchase one for one of our houses and then bought it again for the other. I wa tired of the small ones my wife wasa using. They didn't hold alot and when you went to get a napkinm out you pulled a bunch of them. Caution this work with the bassic napkin size if you like the larger dinner napkins then you'd have to fold them before put the in - with the stand size you just take them out of the bag and pop them in. Make sure the fold is toward the front.

JoYSJoYS: I love this napkin holder! We use the larger dinner napkins and it’s difficult to find a holder big enough to fit them. As you can see there is a bit of napkin hanging over, but not enough to have them fall out. Napkins are held securely but not so tight that you can’t pull one out. Just great-on the dinner table or even patio-and they won’t blow away! The regular dinner napkins will fit with more space to spare.

joedi: This napkin holder is perfect. It holds the napkins well. The weight releases the napkins as you hold on and pull out the one or ones you need. No extra napkins will come out as you select what you need. The napkin holder will not slide around on the table either. I also like the one side that is open. That feature makes it easier to reach over and grab a napkin. It holds a large stack of napkins too. You can fill it very high and the weight still holds the napkins the same way as it holds them all the way to the bottom of the stack. The bronze/brown finish is very elegant, even with the simple lines of the design. Very pleased with this purchase. I've had it for months now, but decided to go back and review it since it functions so well for us.
