Sovol 3D SL1 405nm UV Resin Curing Machine Light Curing Box Station

Jeremy B.: I have had this curing box(?) for a few months now. It does a decent job curing, but the buttons are terrible. I tend to want to cure things for 6 minutes. Sometimes when I try to set the timer the machine will completely skip over 6 minutes and go back to 2. When I hit the Start button sometimes the curing process doesnt start, but the timer will reset to 2 minutes. Sometimes I can press the timer and the curing process will start. I am honestly considering taking out the board and wiring my own buttons in.

DR. VNYDR. VNY: This curing station is basically identical to the creality model that sells for a little higher. It does the job and the led's appear to be of good quality as can be seen using a UV intensity test which places the intsity in the High to extreme range. To give you perspective, these Led's are just as strong as the Beast UV flashlight which is considered to be one of the best UV flashlights on the market! This printer will do the job and is well priced. The plastic housing feels cheap and the overall build is cheap (China) but it works and works well. The viewing window is a nice touch however it does not fully filter out all of the UV light so I would not recommend staring at it for long. This UV exposure is about the same as what the sun outside emits so use your own judgment as to whether this may be potentially hazardous for you. Otherwise, this machine does an excellent job of curing prints and I doubt the expensive curing stations will do any better!

Amazon Customer: I had high hopes for this, but you really do get what you pay for. Out of the box I immediately started having issues such as others had mentioned, rotary table that didn't turn, and the buttons... Oh the joy of the buttons on top... You tap the button to change the time from 2, 4, 6 mins and SOMETIMES it will change, Mostly mine would go from 2 to 4 then back to 2. occasionally I could get it to 6 mins, but even then half the time when I hit start it would change back to 2 mins and turn on. or sometimes it still wouldn't turn on.. I figured that I would just replace the LEDs with my own and run them off a switch. but when I opened it up I realized that I could just eliminate the button panel altogether and run it on and off via the power switch which is an actual switch. Now it runs great. I put a print under it on a DIFFERENT turn table that I already had and turn on the power and it runs until I turn it off.

So if you dont mind changing some of the wiring this thing works ok, but out the box I would avoid it.

Steven Lamb: Unit arrived quickly and safely in a custom fit foam packing in manufacturers box. I immediately plugged it in and fired it up. It worked great. I did notice later that sometimes the turntable (which is attached to the base) needs a nudge to start but once started works fine, not sure if this is a feature, or the solar power just isn't enough to make the initial start. There is a timer control panel on the top as well as a power switch to kill the power near the back for peace of mind. Power comes from an included 12V DC 2 amp wall wart, which happens to have a green LED pilot light on the wart itself. A barrel connector (polarity not indicated) connects the power to the unit and fits very snug to prevent accidental disconnect. The inside reflective tape inside had a protective peel layer, unfortunately a corner of the reflective had peeled away from the cabinet at the very bottom, but not enough to affect function.

I suppose time will tell about longevity but if it dies i'll likely rebuild it since I like how it looks. My thought was why DIY a cardboard unit when this one has a nice molded cabinet with a window???

amador: Cons.
The base being a simple cheap uv powered display rotator, you can't adjust rotation speeds. It does the trick for simple thinner print curing BUT I also don't like that it only has three short time settings on it. Have to continuously power back on.
The reflective material inside the rest of the case did not impress. looks like adhesive aluminum duct tape only just reflective enough.
The smell from curing prints. This would be worth so much more with a exhaust fan with some activated carbon to try and rid of fumes as to not be blasted in the face every time you open it

Pros.
The case build is nice and sturdy with the window making print visible.
Led lights look to be of good quality with lenses for wider coverage. Although only one strip on one side and single led on top.
Price was a big reason for getting it. Cost a bit less than building a enclosed one myself with a controller.
