Immer: Living in NE MN, when it gets dark at night, it gets dark. I use Patriot lighting along stone pathway (25-30 somewhat meandering yards) so as not to fall over the edge of ledge rock, among other pratfalls. One section of lights went out, so I thought transformer was shot. Purchased a new transformer, that was not the problem. As ground was already a bit on the frozen side, I pulled up embedded old cable, tested sections closer and closer to transformer until I got juice (about 3 feet away) and promptly ordered the Southwire low voltage lighting cable. Problem resolved. Only concern is I can no longer bury the cable so when the snows come, in some areas I’ll have to use caution with shovel and snowblower. Cable appears robust, order arrived promptly, and I am satisfied with product and delivery.

shawn: I build custom electrical panels for a living. 1 thing you never do is go cheap on wiring. I already have 3 low voltage lights on a 1 set within 15 ft of a transformer. Will be using this wire to run 6 more lights at around 65ft. This wire has proven more durable then most out there. The price is unbeatable here on Amazon, almost $16 more at a big box store for the same exact brand/gauge wire. I live in Wisconsin, so the weather isn't great all year round. This wire does the trick to hold it's own in the elements.

Lonnie UptegrowLonnie Uptegrow: This great cable and cheaper than going to the big box stores. I didn't like how hard it was to strip the cable even with top of the line wire strippers. Outside of that...very good cable...I used it to install my landscape lights.
