StackStack: After my first examining of the rod when it arrived one of the guides (second from the reel) came off as i retracted the rod; all the sections collapsed into each other fine but thats where the problem occured...as the third section collapsed into the second the ring guide from the second came off its glue. Now its just hanging loose. Not quality epoxy glue or not enough?

Had high hopes for this brand. A little bit disappointed. But I used the rod today works fine but its gonna cost me extra now i have to glue the ring back into place.

oliver: Bought two 2.70m rods, both have snapped under moderate load. The interesting thing was that on both occasions the rods were used with 10lb mono line.

I failed to see how my 10lb mono line broke both rods which were 'supposedly' rated for 15lb line according to the item's description.

I have quite a few rods, ranging from off-brands to name-brands. But only these two have snapped!

Very dissatisfied!!

Arnoldas: So far seems to be acceptable quality, though lack of attention to details (some cosmetic parts got loose after only few uses).

papa diesel: I haven't read all 287 reviews but if I'm repeating someone, I apologize. About 5-years ago, I started my search for a collapsible, travel rod that was very close in quality/function to a 2-piece or 1-piece boat rod. Most travel rods at the time we like toys you would buy for your 7-year old. About 2-years ago I searched Amazon and settled on the Kastking. Now I noticed that my Kastking looks identical to the Sougayilang so I don't know if they're the same company or one makes the rod for another? These rods work so well, I'm now in the market for a spare. However, the Kastking is currently, out-of-stock. Enter the Sougayilang. By all accounts, the Kastking & Sougayilang appear to be the same rods - and now my review:

I've been an avid fisherman, spear fisherman and bottom fisherman in Hawaii for over 40-years. I own a boat and have used just about every expensive/inexpensive brand rod out there. But when I'm not fishing from my boat, I just love to throw a rod and reel in my truck, drive to the West shore and "whip" for papio or juvenile trevali. Prior to the Kastking, my FAV papio pole was an 8' Shimano, one-piece so I made a holder on the roof of my truck out of ABS...

After weeks the customer services reach out to me and apologise about my unpleasant experience purchase and guarantee me this is not the case for most of the customers. They want me to give their product another chance and send me a rod free of charge.
I promise to update my review after I give it another try, so here I am.

Went fishing with this rod again last week, caught couple fishes, biggest one maybe 2 pound. rod hold up fine and very sensitive. will update my review if I ever catch bigger fish in the future.

for the rod, it's very light weight and this time the connection ring doesn't break, so I guess last time is just a production defect. so far I am pleasant with this product and will keep using it.

I want to give a big thumb up for the customer services for taking an extra miles for their product. which in my opinion is a key to success business. keep it up guys.

Anthony Samuel: I ordered the two.1 meter rod for a medium measurement bass and crappie rod. It has greater than exceeded my expectations typically. It casts weightless delicate plastics very effectively. I paired it with a Quantum Fishing Hellcat Eight-bearing spinning reel. I've caught a number of bass on it already and the rod does simply high quality. My final telescopic pole I had, the reel seat got here free now and again. I must re-tighten it a number of occasions throughout a fishing journey. This one sits nice with no motion the best way it ought to. Apart from than the usefulness far exceeds the value. Tremendous gentle, tremendous compact, very usable for what it's. I do not count on this to land a 30lb fish however its prefect for touring when you find yourself low on area.
