Lexi: I was a bit dubious at first as I absolutely love the Shopaholic series. As I started reading the book I found it a slow starter but then I found myself thinking about the characters when I wasn’t reading it and so wanted to read more. Definitely very funny and the character was very relatable.

RainbowLady72: 'Becky Bloomwood' meets 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 days' but without the shopping or the bet!
Not sure if it was my cup of tea but if you liked the Shopaholic series then you will like this as the main character is very similar to Becky Bloomwood.
Some laugh out loud moments. Interesting characters you can't help but love
A story of how love can work in different ways and how to overcome obstacles in relationships.

Namieta Shah: The story is about Ava, a girl looking to find her true direction in life but always spontaneous in making her choices. As in all Sophie Kinsella books, she takes the reader through the mind chatter of the main character and the plot moves fast.
Ava has 3 best friends and she meets Matt. They instantly connect but as they get to know each other, they realise their worlds are very different.
So the book is about how they go about discovering each other’s lives and Sophie has the ability to make it hilarious.
It gets too predictable at times but it’s a feel good story- one you can read when you just want a break from too much thinking!

Amazon Customer: It's no secret that Sophie Kinsella is one of my favorite writers. I can always count on her to make me laugh while still pushing me to think of common--and not so common--problems of our lives, especially when it comes to relationships. This book was a delight with her usual imperfect but lovable characters always a bit clueless but full of good intentions. It was just what the doctor ordered for this gloomy time we're living in. Great inner dialogue as always and the dog! OMG, Harold was a character indeed. Great story, great characters. Thank you, Ms. Kinsella.

Kelsey: This book was charming, heartfelt, warm and fuzzy, brave, strong, and all other good things in one! I loved every moment of this adorable romcom. It was completely unique and had such great characters! I loved all the characters and their differences, their strengths, and even their weaknesses. The writing was incredible- warm and light-hearted when it should be, and tones of seriousness at appropriate times as well. You could feel when Ava and "Dutch" ran into tiny disagreements and slowly feel the build of their relationship throughout. Harold was a monster but a loveable one! I'm a librarian who works in a public library and overall, I loved it so much I bought it. I will be reading this story again. Thank you for your incredible story telling skills, Sophie Kinsella!

MrsLeif: Love Your Life or Ava-Land and Matt-Land was quite an entertaining and sweet novel. The end of the book left me with a big smile on my face.
Yet, the beginning of the book didn’t do it for me. I thought "oh no, this is an insta-love story" which is my least favorite. How wrong was I? Very. I ended up liking it quite a bit more than I thought.
Most surprisingly was that I liked all the main character's friends too. There is Nell who has some serious health issues but she doesn't play the martyr and she can be brutally honest. Sarika who only wants to date someone who lives close to her home (Too far away it's a deal-breaker). She’s using a dating app's algorithm to narrow the perfect guy for her. Then there's Maud who is impossible to say no to. When she asks you for a favor, you don't even realize you're agreeing to do it. To avoid saying yes, it's best not to engage her.
On Matt's side, his friends and flatmates, Topher and Nihal were both amusing and in their own way, supportive of Ava. They were both good guys, Topher despite his antisocial personality and Nihal with his multiple robots.
Now, getting back to the main characters, the book begins...

suze: I've been reading Sophie Kinsella since I scooped the first edition of Confessions of a Shopaholic off the shelf and devoured it. Numerous times. It had to be, what? 2000? Twenty years ago? Does that sound right? I was in my twenties and I felt like I'd never read anything like it before. So funny. So relatable. So ... dare I say it? True. I loved the second book in the Shopaholic series--especially the end, which made me tear up (numerous times). None of the other Shopaholic books did it for me after that but I did enjoy Remember Me?, I've Got Your Number (though what a baloney ending) and Can You Keep a Secret? wasn't bad. I loved Twenties Girl. That one also made me cry. (I see you. You know what I'm talking about. The scene with Sadie in the museum. Yup.)
I couldn't finish the one about the Not-Perfect Life or I Owe You One. Though after reading this one, I'm giving I Owe You One another try. Point is, I read Kinsella. For the most part, I love Kinsella. Here's the thing. I think she's being rushed. She's *super* prolific but I feel like there's too much pressure on her to meet deadline. I feel like she's capable of so much more. So much. Love Your Life (lazy title)...

D: This is an incredible book. Time and again i've heard rom-com books do not have depth but this author proves this theory wrong. This book has incredible depth but is also light and joyful. Also, fantastic writing!
