Rex Giles: Works as good as the ones at the local store for a lot less money

Buyer 1: I never understood why multipacks of name brand, larger batteries (AA, C, D, etc) can be purchased at any local store for a reasonable price but buying a pack of 2 cell batteries locally cost $5+. That's why I was initially suspicious a couple years ago to see 20 packs of name brand CR2032 cell batteries at just a few dollars more than 2 packs locally. If something sounds too good to be true it usually is. However, the price was so good I thought I'd risk it having very little to lose even if they were terrible. The results were great. Product arrived quickly and were exactly as shown on Amazon. I didn't measure the voltage on a machine as some reviewers have but they worked great and lasted as long as expected in use. It's now 2 years later and I've made my second order with the same results. Product arrived quickly and are exactly as shown. Expiration date is 9 years out (2028). I haven't used any of the new bunch yet but I'm expecting that will work just like the first batch. I still have no idea how they can sell these name brand cells so cheaply but maybe a better question is why the folks selling them locally charge such a high price for just 2 and why the price is so high...

DOVE: I bought a set of 12 tea lights with batteries included in June of this year. They have timers and lasted for about 4 months. The brightness was about a medium glow and finally died and decided to change them this December, so I ordered these and WOW...ARE THEY BRIGHT! I looked at the name on the old batteries and it was one I never heard of before, so am sure they were knock offs. But, these batteries change the look of these tea lights so much, it makes the others look like dollar store batteries. The expiration date is 2026, and now I just want to see how long these batteries last. My tea lights are 6 hours on and 18 hours off. So I am VERY PLEASED because at this point they have exceeded my expectations so they get a 5 star review, just for that reason. I will update if anything changes!

UPDATE 8/2017: They lasted me about 3 months, starting to dim about the 3rd month, but I still give these a 5 star review as they are very good batteries. They have been dead for awhile now as I have had other issues to deal with and batteries were not at the top of my list. I just bought some more and still give them a 5 star review.

Ika Musume: When I bought these, I was concerned by the reports of people receiving counterfeit batteries. Based on the packaging, they appeared legit in every way, but of course duplicating print these days is trivial, and I had no known-real packs to compare them against. As a result, I decided to run an experiment measuring their performance against what Sony claimed in the CR2032 data sheet:

I hooked up an LED (and 5k1 current limiting resistor, for my application, I wanted the LED to be very dim) to the battery. Very simple circuit! I have no specs on the LED (standard size clear red, bought them on Amazon), but based on the Sony CR2032 data sheet (220mAh) and some current calculations on ledcalc.com, I determined that it should last between 36 and 58 days... so, roughly a month or two. In retrospect, I should have measured the starting current with a meter, but I didn't, oops. Well, even so, it'd change as the battery was depleted.

I started the experiment 6/1/2016 and I can now report that the LED has been lit nonstop for 38 days. It has now passed my lower-bound estimate of 36 days, so I'm finally ready to claim that, in my opinion, the seller PremiumBatteries is...

C. G. King: I'd been going to the battery store when an item with the watch-style battery gave out and was surprised how much they cost. These meet several needs. For the price, I couldn't be more pleased now that I have multiple items that use this battery. I have two sets of battery operated votives for holiday decorating. I recently got my old set out for the new season and a few batteries have given out so I needed replacements. Hardly was I back when another candle began to dim, so I knew I needed to have multiple backups on hand. These have been very reliable so far and the price is great.

This is the battery that goes in my Bose remote and also my Kindle clip-on light which uses two. I use the light often and sometimes don't turn it off when I stop reading thinking I'll be right back, but then I get sidetracked and the light may stay on all day and/or all night so the batteries don't last as long as if I took better care of them. Again I was surprised at how much the battery store wanted for these same batteries and just the drive to the store is an expense all by itself.

Finally I got smart and checked the batteries to identify the type. Then I bought these. What a...
