Gary Davis: Far exceeded my expectations for quality and workmanship. The wooden box alone was worth the $54.00. Brass inlay and joinery were incredible. Telescope was sturdy and works great. Definitely not a toy but rather a keepsake. Overall a 10 out of 10 for me

SL: I see there are a lot of version of this item, but this is the one I bought. It exceeded my expectations as far as quality. It's well built and comes in a nice wooden box with well thought details like brass inlays. Whoever designed and said "this is how we should make this thing" thought through the details and I commend them for their attention to detail. It's a lot of fun and works for watching birds and squirrels when I sit in my yard. Thank you. Only feedback to share is the oil of whatever you use on the finish has a very strong petroleum smell. I suppose this may be necessary for it to slide well but it's more than noticeable and kind of off-putting - perhaps use a more natural lubricant. There is no COO on this product - I don't care but I have a good idea where it is made and they should be proud to stamp this as made in ?????,

Union MackUnion Mack: Not happy! One of the pins holding the hinge isn't fitted properly, sharp and dangerous. This was a Christmas gift I won't be giving now. Very disappointing, won't recommend
