internet.doctor: Not that great to be honest.

A small selection of screws ( very small) and only one fitted ( that one had to be forced in ).
On the packaging it makes it clear that the screws are intended for the legs not the lenses, it's a shame this could not be made clearer on the advertisement.
The screwdriver supplied is as sharp as a pairing knife and hurts like heck when it hits your finger ( and it will hit your finger at some point believe me ) I had to use one from my phone repair kit in the end( better grip and longer).

I would recommend that you save your money and go for one of the other glasses repair kits on Amazon as you get a wider seltion of screws for around the same price.
Don't get me wrong snappable screws are an amazing idea, it's just a shame they are not the correct size.
Paying all that money just for one screw is not worth it.

DavidDavid: These screws were super simple to use and fixed my glasses in seconds.

They appear sturdy and don’t seem to wiggle loose at all.

My only complaint - the. It which snaps off was too short. Once I’d snapped off the stem of the screw the bottom can still be seen below the hinge on my glasses. On mine it’s okay, but for others e.g. clear plastic or not a maxi frame you will be able to see the screw protruding.

Would I buy them again - yes, but only for certain types of glasses.

Diane Rodgers: Had to try all items to find one which fitted, even then it would not screw down Nd although secure leaves the screw hanging out top and bottom. I won't snap it off as it will leave it less secure. It will suffice till I can get to the optician for a more secure remedy.

Soundchaser: One spring hinge had been distorted and re-screwing the existing screw was becoming less effective as presumably the thread was stripping and the screw was misaligned. SNAPIT solved the problem by providing a small selection of screws of differing width and length. Not that easy to differentiate with the naked eye so tried a couple before finding the best fit. The USP of SNAPIT made it much easier to drop in the new screw and the screw quality made it easier to presumably re-thread as it was slowly and carefully screwed in place and then the excess metalsnapped off.May just have been lucky but it worked first time and provides a seemingly robust and neat repair. Weĺl worth trying.

John Bunyan: Ironically you need to wear a pair of spectacles to repair your glasses, so unless you have two pairs to start with, you're a bit stymied.

It all seemed to be working perfectly. Drop the screw in the hole using the long spear as a guide, then tighten and finally break off the long end. All the screws have raised heads but I could really have done with a countersunk head as the screw thread was not long enough for me. I'd lost the screw that holds a lens in place and that needed to have a longer thread than the ones supplied. If you are replacing a hinge screw, then it would probably work.

A good idea, fairly easy to do but not for me.
