SoggyNacho: A winner. This product is Not a Sauce, Not a Liquid, Not a Shell. Those three formulas will never match good old fashion thick fudge that must be warmed up in order to distribute the fudge. It is interesting that there are so many "chocolate toppings" and none come anywhere near the quality. This is the real deal. Why use anything else? I never will.

Libby: Yes, if you love the Mcd's hot fudge sundaes, you'll love this. Very rich and thick if you don't heat it - almost like actual fudge. I confess I've partaken by spoon straight up.
I wish they'd use a plastic squirt bottle so one could toss it in the microwave and go to town with it. Heating the glass bottle isn't recommended.

Laura Marie: I love this- however the aftertaste is kind of weird. It’s almost bitter on the back of your tongue. Date is fine and definitely not expired though.

M. Hill: Good deep chocolaty flavor in a thick rich hot fudge sauce. Not homemade but an excellent substitute when time is short. This is not a thin chocolate sauce, it needs to be warmed up to distribute without difficulty. Remove the cap, place in microwave oven and heat in the jar for 30 seconds—stir and serve. Time may need to be adjusted based on the microwave -- too hot will too quickly melt the ice cream.
An occasional treat, the ingredients include non-fat milk, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, sugar, soybean oil, cocoa processed with alkali and cocoa along with a small amount (less than two percent) of a number of other ingredients including salt, corn starch, hydrogenated cottonseed oil and artificial vanilla.
There are 130 calories per two tablespoon serving, 4 1/2 grams of fat (1 1/2 grams saturated), 22 grams carbohydrate, 2 grams of protein and not surprisingly high in sugar at 18 grams. If watching salt intake, sodium is 50 mg which is a reasonably low 2 percent of daily value.
In setting up a sundae bar it is easy to load a couple jars in a small crockpot to keep the sauce warm and ready. Good to drizzle over a piece of un-frosted cake or before...
