However, the motor itself runs very loud, so I have one cat that is willing to play with it and another cat That is sure it is just waiting to kill him and will not approach it. So… there’s that. In summary, if your cat is not skittish, it is a great buy.

AVafez: juguete práctico, mientras que se los saque por periodos cortos de tiempo al día, los siguen disfrutando. dura como 10 min de funcionamiento continuo y se para automáticamente, tiene dos velocidades. Y por el momento llevo dos semanas con él, usándolo unos 2 a 3 ciclos por día y sigue en perfecto estado, dura la batería, y les sigue gustando a mis dos gatos.

Kelly Fisher: My cat adores this toy. Throughout the day, she sits next to it and waits for me to turn it on for her and it provides hours of entertainment for her! When the motor of the first one wore out, I kept the wand and the blue fabric piece and am glad I did because the fabric on the replacement piece is flimsy and gets caught up in the wand too easily. So, my suggestion to Smarty Kat is to go back to the slightly heavier material to provide hours and hours of fun. Other than that, this is an item I'm really happy to have found for my Molly. The original toy I had gets 5+ stars - this one gets 4 only because of the fabric difference.

BFBF: Update 3/11/22: still working fine, and getting used daily by 2 cats. The feathers have completely been ripped off now, and wand is surprisingly still intact, despite my senior cat always trying to chew on it. Having trouble with replacements feathers though. All the ones I’ve tried are too heavy so the ball can’t stand up and swing around. For now I just hot glued some feathers and ribbon from an old toy, light enough for it to work. Kinda disappointed like others that replacement wands are not available. But I can see another seller listing 2 balls w/ wands & 2 replacement wands for about $30, so weird how I can’t just purchase individual wands :(

PROS: This is hands down the best toy I have bought for my 9 month old kitten. She has been playing with it pretty much nonstop since we got it. She plays with it all over the house (carpet and tile), she seriously just purrrs nonstop playing with this thing! She bats at it and attacks it while it’s on and moving, she still plays with it when turned off but keeps waiting for it to move, then looks at me like WTF Mom, FIX IT haha!!! Michelle D StremmelMichelle D Stremmel: One of the reasons most of us purchase electric toys is to have entertainment for our cats without having to be 100% involved (while still monitoring, of course). This idea was great for this toy, but the execution was poor - because the human has to straighten out the toy every minute (or more often) for it to work properly.

Some reviewers don't understand how this is supposed to work... so let's clear that up first. This furry/feather/ribbony end isn't supposed to peak out from the fabric like other similar toys. Instead, it helps cats with their hunting instinct. It is jointed to stay under the fabric. The hoop within the fabric hem then keeps the circle somewhat taut to make it arch in a few places, so the cat can see the movement above the fabric and gets a peek every so often of a mouse-like shape when viewing it from the side. This concept was right on the mark. I love this concept about the toy... if it only worked with the materials used.

Here is where it goes wrong: 1) Fabric is too light. 2) Wire/filament hoop within hem is not attached properly to form a full circle or becomes detached with very little play.

Kristen: My cat absolutely adored this toy, to the point where she'd cry to have it turned back on every 20 minutes when the auto-shutoff kicked in. Sometimes she'd just watch it, other times she'd pounce on it and go wild.

However, only a couple months after purchasing it ... the part that spins the toy completely broke. The motor works and the lights work, but whatever attached the toy wand to the motor has busted. I can only assume it's because when the cat actually catches the toy, the motor still tries to spin and produces a loud clicking noise. I just realized, thinking back, that I hadn't heard this clicking noise as often in the past week or so - likely because the connection between the motor and toy had come loose.

The other problem is the fact the toy takes 3 AA batteries and runs through them pretty quickly with frequent use, even with the auto-shutoff. I felt rather wasteful going through so many batteries in such a short period of time, but our cat really did love the toy.

Pros:
- Engaging to our cat, loved the toy. (She was obsessive about it.)
- Easy to use with 2 button push.
