SMARTRO Digital Kitchen Scale - Weigh Food in Grams and Ounces

SirHazeSirHaze: So it was delivered in its original package and the box was damaged. Considering how fragile these things can be I was hoping for better packaging. Overall the scale is fine but the one thing I dont like is it wont pick up 1 G weight. I put a dollar on it (dollars weigh 1 g.) and it doesnt even register the weight. Then i put 3 dollars and it weighed 2 gs. Put a 1 ounce metal weight on it and it registered that accurately. Seems good for heavier weight but smaller amounts idk how accurate it really is

Melissa Towne: I use this scale everyday for portioning meals and love it!! A lot of scales I’ve had in the past are not completely flat or are smaller making it difficult not to cover the display depending on the vessel you’re weighing in. The size and shape of this one make it perfect for me to use a regular plate or most of my different Tupperware items to measure without covering up the display. The display is also red which makes it a lot easier to read than my previous black and white display that wasn’t backlit. I also like the sleek design that makes it easy to clean and the many measurement options such as the fl oz and ml measurement offered for both water and milk. Bottom line, it’s a great product in all categories of design, ease of use, and accuracy. I highly recommend!

Angelo IacovellaAngelo Iacovella: I used my previous scale which is much more precise (due to resolution down to micrograms not tested in a lab) that I use for my medication which needs to be carefully measured. I used the precision 10g calibration weight from that scale to compare between the units and they both agree with each other. I also tested the liquid measure in milliliters and ounces and while the measuring cup isn't exactly precise - the scale was very close. So close in fact that the margin of error wouldn't matter at all in a kitchen setting which is the intended purpose of this scale. I also tested the measurement of a single cherry tomato and both units were again in agreement. I included some reference items in the photos for scale to help determine the size of the unit. It's very slender and the finish is very nice - with a glass top. Thiss should fit in well with any modern kitchen decor. The unit is very easy to use, to the point where I didn't need instructions at all. However, I did read the instructions afterward and to my surprise given the origin of the manufacturer - grammatically correct and very clear and easy to understand. The real gem is they give you an actual phone number to call...

Errol: I've tried several of these inexpensive scales and returned them. They were usually inaccurate with inconsistent readings for the same thing weighed multiple times in succession. One arrived that would not register weight at all....just stayed on 0 grams.

But this unit is superior to the rest I've had. This one is consistently accurate. I like that the platform is larger than nearly all the others. And, they did a nice touch by putting a crosshairs at the center of the weighing area. That little feature costs nothing for the manufacturer to add but it helps to get accurate and consistent weights.

The one thing they could do to improve it is have the LED readout be in white numbers on black background instead of the red numbers they do use. The red numbers are large and easy enough to read, but white on black stands out more.

Zorria J: I really like this kitchen scale. However, I will say the instructions can be a little confusing, which is why I gave this product four stars instead of 5. I still do not understand how to change the measurements being used. But this is still a good and accurate kitchen scale. I like the fact that this company provides the AAA batteries needed for the scale, so I did not have to go back out and buy any. I am very glad I bought it!
