D. Hart: I purchased this scale because of the Bluetooth connectivity and the smart features. Well I got the scale and then went to install the app. I used my cell phone camera to scan the QR code on the included instructions to download the app. It brings you to the manufactures website to download the app from there not the Android Play Store (I have an android phone). My anti-virus software flagged it and blocked it as known spyware. I then went to the official Google Play store and downloaded it from there. So I installed the software but it wanted permissions that it doesn't need such as Access to my Phones Contacts, location, etc. Why does the app need to access my phone contacts, call history and location? So I only allow it access to storage as I figure that it needs to save the information locally. Well if you don't allow it access to your whole phone then the app won't connect to the scale. So net result is I'm using it a dumb scale because the developer wants to steal/spy on my data. I highly recommend that people look else where for a smart Scale!!! M A SlettenM A Sletten: This scale is very cool. Not only does it look sleek, it is also kind of fun to use. Setting up the app was very easy. Attached is the information that it gives. What I find interesting is that it shows my body fat as being high and that makes sense because I’ve been on keto for quite a while now and that is very high in fat. Update: my sons and their friends LOVE this scale. The ages of the kids range from 15 to 18 but in order for it to work on their phone the kids have to put in an age of 18. They like to compare their body fat, visceral fat and fitness level. Right now about 8 kids have my scales app on their phone - LOL.
