Small Anti-Theft Crossbody Sling Backpack from Waterfly

Pen NamePen Name: I’ve tried a few different bags in this size and category. This is the best one I have found so far but it is not perfect.

Pros: organization. The internal pockets are a plus and fit how I wanted to set up my bag. The zippers pocket against your body is nice for cash/cards or anything else flat that you want discreet easy access to. The material seems sturdy and well made. The zippers and buckles feel nice and the bag is light weight.

Cons. Outer pocket. This pocket is useless for me. Anything I have tried to fit in it didn’t feel secure. This is partly dues to slick material and the size of it. But the biggest complaint is the snap does not stay closed. It’s magnetic but it just isn’t strong enough. It frequently comes unsnapped on my back or when I swing it around to access it while wearing. The only thing I have used the front pocket for is to store my main phone briefly while having the bag swung in front. Another complaint is the orientation of the zippers. Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: After my daughter was pickpocketed in Madrid while wearing a fanny pack with the pack/zipper in front, I bought this crossbody sling before heading over there to visit. I only wore it with the pouch/bag in front, across my chest - this felt reasonably secure.

Pros: Comfort, vertical orientation (my credit card and ID were tucked in at the bottom- harder to reach for pickpockets), quality, design, strap would be difficult to cut
Cons: There are no zippers inside, just well placed pockets. I frequently wished that there were zippers on at least some of the interior pockets for additional protection.

If you need a bag to carry a spare jacket or tuck in purchases that aren't quite small, this won't work. But the size was just right for me! Again, only complaint is the lack of zippers on interior pockets.

Kathy: My husband was taking the grandkids on a plane trip-one layover, two countries. He was worried that he would lose the passports, the money, the plane tickets. You name it, he was worried he would lose it. I bought him this, The bag fit nicely over his shoulder. He didn't take it off until he got to my daughter's house. It was comfortable enough, and it was able to hold all six passports, plane tickets, money, some 3x5 cards with reminders I had written him. He was good to go. Roomy enough and sturdy.

nubonics: There are a lot of pick pockets in Los Angeles/WeHo who use clever tactics to get into your bag. For the most part this bag does the job with the locking mechanism.

The locking mechanism is a bit flimsy and the “nut” used to lock the zip in place can easily be spun off if it isn’t attached/locks on to the hook.

I really didn’t like the flap that goes over the zip. I kept finding it getting caught on things because of how stiff the bag is.

The bag is really stiff and it took about 14 days of hard travel use to slightly break in. The stiffness gets more in the way when you are looking for things in the bag…

As for pockets in the bag, there are so many and I found myself losing thing constantly in the bag that i had to dump it out several times…again the stiffness of the outer material made searching for things even more difficult. The pockets has no zips inside so change went all over the place. I would have easily settled for 2 pockets, with one that had a zip.

Overall I’ll continue to use this bag because it does what it is suppose to (keep people out) but I don’t think I would buy again when the time comes.
